DTW-MCO good experience

We flew this route today 12:37 pm flight. We bundled seat and carry on. I added early boarding. Went like clockwork except of course the 20 minute wheelchair and young child boarding with 5 extra family members for each wheelchair. Zone 1 finally called along with Frontier America’s best airline. No scrutinizing of bags. We load in and stowe our carry ons plus my medical bag. Plane takes off on time. Arrives early but can’t get jet bridge due to close by medical emergency. Small delay. We get off. I’d rank it a successful flight.

My desired MNSSHP Tickets sold out ... It doesn't hurt to ask

We kept putting off making plans for my son's birthday in August. We were going to do something more local, sat on a reasonably priced VRBO for a day, and it sold.

Well then, what about WDW and a Not So Scary party? My son says he loves them. August 18 was close enough and we could be in the bubble during his actual birthday. I booked hotels and meals last night because they are easily canceled and I wanted a cool down period from this decision. Checked with wife this morning ... yup we are good to go.

Head over to buy tickets ... August 18 now sold out. On a prayer went to AAA and they still had August 18 listed. Put in the info, clicked purchase, and of course Disney said heck no, no longer available.

I raged around a bit at my own stupidity of not just doing it. I started looking at other dates, matching up hotels, etc ... but it wouldn't be his birthday. Then I figured I should go for the Hail Mary ... I jumped into a chat in the Disney app to ask if there was any way some tickets were available. The rep responded ... always call or chat ... we may have access to tickets that were returned or canceled as people have their plans change. A few minutes later ... I have 3 tickets for you, fill out these forms to submit payment. 10 minutes later, I had 3 tickets linked in my account.

Normally I have tears in my eyes for different reasons when I get that receipt for Disney tickets.

With all of that being said ... it doesn't hurt to pick up a phone or open a chat window and ask.

Line etiquette for concessions

Mashup with CP and Driving ....

The Sky Ride concessions booth was only running one register this morning. People had queued up in the physical queue for that register but of course there is another fixed queue that was empty in front of the non-operational register. Is proper etiquette to get in the line or use both and yell ZIPPER MERGE when you get up to the front?
