New bike, what’s wrong?

I’ve put a help ticket in w Velotric but would love some insight while I wait. I ordered it online and assembled it at home, but I’m pretty handy and I followed the instructions diligently. Is my motor defective? Did I do something wrong? Chain is on correctly, rolls fine with a backwards pedal, but won’t move with forward peddling.

Update: Y’all were right. The fender was rubbing the wheel. I feel so silly but I’m glad it was an easy fix. Thanks again for your helpful advice!

In celebration of my new job!

I know, not the cleanest. I’m still learning. I used a peel-off base, melodiesusie builder gel, beetles wine stain (I did not like the quality fwiw), melodiesusie chrome powder m15, and beetles topcoat.

Ebike accessory recs for commute w light rail

New job, new commute, new (Velotric most likely) ebike. What lock do you recommend? What rain gear? What helmet? What pannier that becomes a backpack? Should I get the Velotric suspension post or a different brand? Same question for baskets.

I want quality but can’t spend on top-end. Give me all your tips and suggestions. Thanks! Oh, 5’3” and petite if that helps narrow it down.

Want an example of why our state is falling behind in education?

This is the sixteen year old biology book that we use for our high school students where I teach. Until we fully fund education, our children- our future workforce and voters- will continue to get a sub-par education and employers will continue to import HB1s for the highly skilled jobs because or students, on the whole, won’t have the necessary knowledge and skills.
