A Woodies on the wharf sorceress tried to steal my bike!

If Power Locks are the same strength as a regular link can I string 5 or six like chains together with Power Locks without degrading the strength?

This is a Surly Sorceress and it says native is 180mm. But this is a 20mm adapter and I am still 10mm from the proper location for the caliper. What am I missing here?

I have built up a couple bikes, and do a lot of maintenance of the shade tree type. In any case, I watched a master builder build a Sorceress and he faced the Bottom bracket. I understand the reason behind this but wonder how much this is done anymore, with the tolerances that bikes meet in manufacturing and generally the quality of Bottom Brackets and their bearings. If you have or do resurface your bottom brackets how necessary do you think this is?

After some reading I didn't like the cheap bolts on the left, (zoom in on that thing) are they cast or are they stainless, in any case they are thin, 2mm. The pics show two different bolts being used by EVOSID, some look like the right with 5mm of aluminum. I had heard of them breaking and of the 5dev ones breaking too. It should also be noted that there is no washer on the bolt, which is really not right and the new bolt has a domed fit to make sure it goes in straight. The washer protects the aluminum arm. Piece of mind.
