Good day! I have a question regarding CHED and DOST scholarships.

Suppose a student is already a recipient of a CHED scholarship *merit* during their 1st and 2nd years in college. Then, in their 3rd year, they qualified for the DOST-JLSS scholarship. Since government scholarships generally cannot be enjoyed simultaneously, what is the usual process in this situation?

• Can the student voluntarily terminate their CHED scholarship and switch to DOST-JLSS?

• Will the student be required to refund the benefits previously received from CHED?

• Has anyone here experienced transitioning from CHED to DOST-JLSS?

Those scholars who got full merit, what's your GWA that got u the full merit? And what other things that helped you secure a slot? (like, is it an added point of if one is a first generation student?????)

The thing is, I have no background with programming, but I've always been fascinated with tech and math so I guess it only makes sense for me to take this program. Hi, I am a non passer of the DOST scholarship. And so, I am looking to apply for CHED. For context, I have a GWA of 96.34 which makes me qualified for full merit. I also finished SHS in a private school where I was given a voucher for my tuition fee. I also paid it with the money I earn in my summer job. Now, I've read somewhere po na may "percentile ranking" daw po in picking the qualified student. My concern po is how can I increase my chances?

Here are some details na I think relevant dun sa scholarship:

• I am a first generation student

• My dad is a farmer earning less than 6k/month

• Mom is unemployed

• 96 GWA

hi, let me start with an apology kasi idk how to do this kind of post hhahaha and few info might be too confusing hahahahahaha. anyways, so yung story is about me, my cousins, and neighbor.

So yung gist nung story is napagbintangan kami nung neighbor namin na ako (and my mom) na kami raw yung "nagsumbong" na nakaconnect yung buong fam nila sa wifi nung pinsan namin, which is entirely not true.

now, I wont mind naman na pagbitangan kami cus di naman totoo, and idrc. pero di talaga sila tumigil. to the point na nagagawa na sila ng story para maipush na ako yung nagsabi. and nagtataka ako why theyre so pressed KUNG ako man nagsabi kasi totoo naman pala na nakaconnect buong family nila.

umabot na rin daw sa baranggay yung issue cus my ninang (which is the one na nagpapalaki pa lalo nung issue) nireport nya cus sya raw yung nagkwento samen then ako yung nagkwento dun sa pinsan namin.

so eto na nga yung i think gago ako. few days na walang update dun sa issue when all of a sudden nalaman ko na sinabi sa baranggay na umamin na raw kami na kami nagsabi. now this pissed me the fuck off cus HELLO wala naman akong pake sa wifi na yan pero for them to lie sa baranggay is insane. and since may gc kaming magpipinsan and yung isang anak ng kapitbahay namin na pinsan nung nangbibintang, I told sa gc na "bakit kasi di sila magpakabit ng wifi? paglibahasa wala na maiulam." now I know i entirely fucked up with what I said. believe me, kahit ako naano dun sa sinabi ko. but at the same time, they had it coming. like wtf?

it's been eating me alive but at the same time i believe they had it coming for the bullshit theyre pulling. but my parents has been arguing with me na sobrang sama ko raw for what i said cus nabasa nila yung sinabi ko and they cried daw.

ABYG cus nagrereflect na rin ako na I couldve ignored yung accusations so I think ako yung gago huhu.
