My brand new boss just caused the most personally offensive moment of my life, but I can’t quit.

I am the head of events for a small city in the south and I have had a new boss for about 6 weeks. I have only had about a handful of interactions with him, and maybe 3 one on one conversation on summer event days. Tomorrow is my absolutely biggest event where I have 30 people working for me, and that makes today my second busiest day of the year.

I recently developed a leg infection from scraping my knee and then volunteering at a farmers market. Two days ago I made him aware said it was fine and receiving doctors treatment. Today, between a ton of heavy lifting, he called me in front of his boss and started insinuating that I am homeless and living out of my car. An absolutely insane claim given that I live in a $1,300 a month apartment in a wealthy neighborhood. His boss, who knows me well, just sat there. I just don’t understand how he went from leg infection to, he must be homeless living out of his car.

I smiled through it and said that I am going through three forms of treatment and I am very much not homeless. I wish I could have just walked out because I have never been so personally humiliated in my life. I couldn’t believe it, and it just feels like it absolutely crushed my love for this job.

Friend asked me who I thought was cute in the bar and then just approached that person and I ended up getting her number. Is this first text too much?

Hey it was cool meeting you last night. Sorry my friend did that lol 😝 she asked me who I thought was the most beautiful girl in the bar and I said “the woman in the floral dress looks stunning” and then she just made a beeline to you. I’m glad she did though now

(I told her I’d text her the next day) should I add a question to continue the conversation or should I make it shorter?

Women, where would be a place or event where you want to meet a guy?

Broke up with my girlfriend three weeks ago. So I started going to line dancing and it seems like a nice environment and unlike most nights at bars is mostly women. It’s nice and natural conversations start through the activity. What place or event is somewhere where women want to meet a guy? Or what would be the perfect place for you to go with the intention of meeting someone that isn’t a packed weekend bar?

Does anybody know what happened to the pieces of goalpost that made it out of the building?
