So glad I got rOS2

I usually stop in the middle of backing out of my garage to reboot my car. Sure am glad I don’t have CarPlay so I get to use this Quality Rivian Software all the time.

Also fun thing I’ve started knocking on the car to wake up the gremlins that power it, standing in the rain while the car can’t recognize your key? Just knock on the door and it will make you less frustrated about standing in the rain getting soaked if you feel like there’s a tiny monster in the door that controls the locks.

If you happen to be driving and it’s raining a few tips from a native.

If while you’re driving water starts to fall from the sky, do not panic. This is an every day occurrence here. Follow these steps to be safe.

1 Turn on your windshield wipers.

2 Turn on your headlights, not your DRLs
This is important because your DRLs don’t turn your tail lights on

3 possibly readjust speed to what you’re comfortable with. If that is under the speed limit move out of the left lane.

4 do not turn on your hazard lights, with them on none of us can see what direction you’re going to turn since your tail lights are now telling everyone you cannot be trusted behind the wheel of a vehicle. If you are too afraid of driving in the rain, do not know how to follow the above steps, pull over into the emergency lane, and turn on your hazard lights because you are a hazard to everyone else on the road. Wait for the daily storm to stop, you can browse Reddit, watch TikTok, or check out instagram, because you clearly can’t drive and shouldn’t because you put everyone else’s lives in danger by driving.

5 do not slow down and stay in the left lane, this should be a federal crime ICE responds to.

Feel free to comment below. If you don’t agree, you are just factually wrong. Also don’t quote that it’s legal, because the idiot who made it legal stole $10MM to appeal to out of state transplants who are afraid to drive in the rain.

So I haven’t had a car with single or double din for at least 10-15 years? But I hugely miss some of these. In High school I got one of the first MP3 CD headunits, then I got a Harmon Kardon traffic pro for a mkiv golf, for OEM ++ nav. Kind of miss that aspect of cars. That’s all.
