I know people have said that they have won the daily jackpot on daily Fortune with $.20 spins, but has anybody done that on daily pot of gold?

Hiiii! Visiting next Wednesday and looking for recs for a chill lounge with good mocktails, NA beer, and/or mozzarella sticks to hang after visiting family.

My husband has a surgery at the end of the month. For most of our adult lives we didn’t have health insurance nor did we need any major medical procedures so this is all new to us. Someone called him yesterday from the same area code of the city we live in. I wasn’t on the call but could sort of hear from where I was standing and the voice sounded very AI. Anyway, the woman confirmed with him the date I the surgery and then casually explained he needed to pay over 2k before the surgery.

When he asked if there were payment options she said no, but if he wanted to he could just pay half of the deposit. No payment plans. He asked for her to send the payment processor via email since he didn’t want to do it over the phone.

I’m just curious if this is normal? I asked a few coworkers last night if they had to do this for their major surgeries they had this year and they said they payed a copayment for no more than 250 and it was at the doctors office, not via phone. I checked our insurance to see if we ever received an explanation of benefits and nothing has been generated. Any thoughts?
