Hearing them talk about me, wondering when I’ll come back, not recognizing me even when they feel like they know me, it honestly messed me up a bit. Then I saw Mido apologize and that just made things worse.

I want the octo gear so bad but it is so unbelievably expensive that it is psychotic. 800 bronze scales EACH. Not only is it locked behind the only scale that is not obtainable outside of Kings, and even when you do get a King the most you can get is like 13 (assuming all 13 are bronze) if you’re lucky, but they ask that you collect 2,400 OF THEM to get a legacy gear set. They added alternate methods for getting silver and gold, why the hell is getting bronze somehow harder than the other two?!??
This is coming from a player who has only ever beaten Xtra Wave 3 times, those kings are f**kin hard. Maybe I’m just bad but good lord they need to fix this either before Splatoon 4 or in Splatoon 4.
The concept of this item can work, giving the player a choice between three different options that they can’t go back on. The problem is that not only is the existence of that choice not made clear to a first time player, but the third option is both the best option and the most hidden.
When I first played through the game I got the ruined tool, read that a skilled craftsbug may be able to repair it, then saw the silkshot appear in the Forge Daughter’s shop and assumed that Forge Daughter was the craftsbug that was being referred to. I had zero idea that the other versions even existed until I saw YouTube videos talking about them and I got bummed out because it made me wish I knew about those other versions and I felt like I was missing out.
What’s the point of the Forge and Architect versions if the Weaver version is so much better? Hell, making the Weaver version doesn’t even cost any rosaries, just the craftmetal.
Worse still, you can get completely locked out of the Architect version before you’ve even found the ruined tool, which just makes the whole choice aspect even more baffling.

How Flintslate works is that it gives a 50% increase to your needle damage. On top of that, after about 2-5 consecutive hits it also inflicts a burning effect that does a small amount of damage 3 times.
I just recently discovered that the burning damage inflicted by Flintslate scales based on your Needle damage rather than crafting kits. This is the only tool in the entire game that gets ZERO benefit from crafting kits.
On top of that the scaling itself, much like many other tools in the game, is wack. From no upgrades to fully upgraded, the progression looks like this (1/2/3/3/4). The third needle upgrade just does nothing.
BUT WAIT THERES MORE!
Your first tool pouch upgrade does absolutely nothing to the total capacity of this tool. It goes from a maximum of 3, to a maximum of 3. Flea Brew and Plasmium Phial also have this quirk, all three tools share the same capacity scaling of (3/3/4/5/6)
I absolutely love this game but good lord learning about this gives me a headache.
I mean she probably deserved it but good lord. Hell of a way to show players just how far this game is willing to go.
I wonder if Toby didn’t initially plan for Dess and Asriel to be a couple. Like we saw some small hints in earlier chapters that they were at least close with each other, but nothing that concretely stated they were together. Then Chapter 5 comes in with some of the most blatant Dessriel confirmations that we ever could have gotten (the love letters, them winning the vote for king and queen, them being on the Ferris wheel, even them “practicing” with each other 😉). We went from tiny bread crumbs of what they were to each other to Burgerpants telling us “yeah they F$&@ed” so quickly.
A part of me wonders if Toby saw how popular the ship was getting and decided to make it canon in Ch5 because it fit in nicely with the story.
Another part of me wonders how Toby is going to break our hearts with this later O_O
I’m probably completely wrong about this but I honestly just love the idea of Toby looking at all the shipping and thinking “hmmm, I could use this 😈”
Looking at the two trailers we got last year, there is a noticeable trend in them.
The launch trailer for Silksong happened out of nowhere, completely on its own, despite Gamescom happening at basically the same time. Instead of putting it in Gamescom, they did their own thing.
The SoS reveal happened in a similar way. They dropped it out of nowhere, completely on its own, when they could have put it in TGA which happened a few days prior.
It seems like Team Cherry nowadays would rather do their announcements separate from the big events instead of putting them at the events. I say nowadays because Silksong’s first two trailers happened at big Nintendo and Xbox events, but between then and now it doesn’t seem like they want to do that anymore.
Now if history isn’t mistaken, it’s entirely possible that we get something new from Team Cherry sometime in the next few days, since we just had two big events this week with an Xbox event right around the corner. Personally I don’t think the proximity to an event really matters, a surprise trailer is just as likely to happen sometime in the next few days as it is to happen like, later in the month or next month or the month after really who knows. It could literally come out of nowhere, there’s no way to tell with Team Cherry.
All that matters is if it happens this year.
I’ve never bought a movie on YouTube before this, and honestly owning it on YouTube is SO nice.
No need to go to some other service and wait through menus and shit. I literally just see it in the same place I spend most of my time in, tap it, and I’m just watching the movie. Great quality, Subtitles, always remembers where I was, ZERO ADS, I can literally just watch the whole movie like it’s just another YouTube video.
That’s the part that’s crazy to me. I can literally just pull the movie up on a whim and never even leave the app.
Only catch is that YouTube blocks screenshots which is fair, but my god this is so nice. I can’t imagine doing this with other movies, Iron Lung feels particularly special and fitting for this and I often get the urge to just go and watch some of it because it’s great so having it just, BE THERE ALONGSIDE OTHER VIDEOS LIKE ITS NORMAL, is just so nice.
To decide Pomni’s name, Caine brings out a slot machine with 5 letters on it.
How the hell did the other cast members get names like Jax, Kinger, Ragatha, Zooble, Gangle, and even the past characters like Scratch, Kaufmo, Ribbit, and Queenie when the machine can only do five letter names?
This slot machine literally only works for Pomni’s name. Maybe you can say that it can land on blank spots and that’s how Jax got his name but none of the other characters could have gotten their names from this machine unless Caine has different machines for different letter counts.
If that’s the case then what the hell determines which one he uses?
Am I looking too deeply into this? Is this intentional? Is this the TADC equivalent of a shower thought? Do I need mental help?(yes). Is it just one of those things you just have to look past?
