Hi all, so I recently purchased a 2008 1VD-FTV land cruiser as a project as as I was away my dad got it serviced and said the mechanic found some metal flakes in the oil, now i wish he told me that before as he decided to still drive it.

He drove it around for about 2 days and at the end of the 2nd day whilst going up a hill he stated the engine started to loose power and then just shut off.

It still turns over and can start but theres a loud knocking sound from the right side as you're looking at the engine and oil is just pouring out of that side.

I can also confirm that whilst the engine is off if more oil is poured in i can see alot of oil start to come back out.

Any suggestions on what could of happened would be great and maybe a suggestion on how badly damaged my wallet will be will also help.

Hi all so i have been driving alot recently on the M62 from Huddersfield to Bolton and I decided to just join the que of cars in the fast lane and quickly noticed that I was doing just under 100mph with them all.

Is there no speed cameras on the m62 until the blue notice boards come up as thats when they all slowed down.

Hi all so i have had tinitus for over 2 years now and have gotten good at ignoring it and just have a few issues every now and again during the night. however a few months ago I went to a theme park (alton towers) and after going on every ride and heading home i laid in bed and noticed my tinitus had reduced.

I though it was just a temporary affect from all the forces from the day but now I lay in bed today still with almost no tinitus noise from my left ear and it feels like all the noise is now on my right side. Also if I try to make my tintis louder it no longer reaches the loudness I could get it too and I only notice a noise increase on my right side.

I dont think I have lost hearing on my left side as I can still hear myself rub 2 fingers next to my ear.

Any input into what could of happened would be great
