Help me understand easily distracted

I’ve read 15,000 threads about this one goddamn flaw, and I still can’t fucking figure it out. I took the flaw at level 5 when I had a skill point still remaining. Looking at my screenshot, I assumed i’d be able to increase anything but science, since that’s my highest skill. Fucking wrong! That’s grayed out, which makes sense, but so are engineering lockpick and speech, which fucking doesn’t make any sense lol.

If i’m understanding correctly, I have to level up all my other stats to 2? Then will they also be grayed out? But once they’re at 2, will the ones above 2 become ungrayed out and I can increase them? Do i just increase everything to 2 and then cant spend anymore skill points? Surely that cannot be it. If i put this point I have into guns, will that be grayed out next level until I increase everything else to 2? Do i increase everything to 2, and then have to increase them one by one to 4 to be able to increase Science, which is currently at 4? Because that’s like…35 skill points away lmao. What the fuck.

I see a lot of “you can get 5 skills to 18” hype about this flaw, but wouldn’t that require you to have all your other skills at 18? Which would require 216 skill points?

Somebody help me please understand this fucking shit lmao.

What is your cellphone carrier?

Wife and I have Verizon and had the power go out this week in Orange county. We’ve always had trouble getting reliable internet on our phones when we’re not on wifi but it was killing us not being able to check in with the energy company for updates. Not to mention I always only have 1-2 bars of phone service inside my house. We’ve decided there’s no way everyone up here struggles with this shit like we do, so we’re considering switching. What do you folks use, and how is the service for you?

Want to play Rogue Trader but was put off by l Owlcat writing, and think the 40k universe is dumb

I’ve found the writing for KM and WOTR to be pretty amateurish and totally immature, and was put off by how both games seemed to be 70% combat. I also don’t know much about the 40k universe besides orcs who talk like idiots, “grimdark”, and 8273 billion planets, but from the outside it too seems immature and kinda idiotic.

However I (obviously) fucking love CRPGs. Pillars 1 and 2 are my favorite games. I’m replaying DOS2 now for the 3 time and loving it. I actually really enjoyed the combat in the Pathfinder games, even though there was too much of it. I’m a sucker for good lore. I generally prefer fantasy, the more “generic” the better, but I am willing to explore the 40kstuff if there’s more to it than meets the eye.

Would you suggest I give it a go?

Maia better in Sharpshooter Garb or clothing?

I’m trying to max Maia’s dps output and have her currently equipped with an exceptional arquebus. Question though, what gives the most attacks per minute? The sharpshooter garb is light armor so it’s got a +20% recovery time, but the Gunnery effect gives it -20% reload time with arquebuses. Do those two stats in effect cancel each other out, making the recovery/reload time the same as it would be if she was in regular clothing, which has no added recovery time or reload bonus? I’m not worried about her getting hit or the armor value of the light armor, I’m purely asking from a damage output point of view.

Kind of an awkwardly worded question, but hopefully someone can help me out here.

“I have a knife”

no spoilers here please, and i hope what im about to say doesn’t qualify as one, but i think it’s so hilarious everytime lenti leans over and whispers to someone “i have a knife”. i haven’t finished the book yet so the jury’s still out on him, but just this little quirk is an example of how much funnier this book is than the first. i’m reading at an absolute snails pace but im enjoying it so much.
