Probably very obvious, but does anyone remember a mid 80s show, ITV possibly, whose intro had a twirling red jewelry/music box...?

I've been a fan since the mid '80s. Know all about the history and characters from before my time too, Elsie, Ena, Annie etc. Of course, there have been times when the standards have slipped, but in the past few years, yikes. I stumbled through some dreadful, overly-long storylines, then the whole Swain/Kit taking over the show, way too many bad guys and depressing storylines (depressing, as in poorly-written, badly-developed and just too long), and so many needless characters (the Driscolls, in particular the mother character, Jesus, take some acting classes Pauline). I've tried to come back a few times, but it's just embarrassingly poor. I used to love turning on Amazon Prime, and realizing a new episode was waiting for me. Now there's dozens of unwatched ones, as I just can't bring myself to be let down by the writers/producers yet again. Does it, or has it gotten better in recent months? A personal opinion, I know some love the direction the show has turned...

Wanted to buy nice chocolates, maybe a few individual boxes, and perhaps one larger one, for teachers and office staff at my kid's school, for the incredible work they've done over the years. Would like something a little more upscale though, rather than just CVS, Duane Reade stuff. Anyone got ideas where I could get, relatively locally? Cost isn't really an issue, they deserve it....thanks

Hi all, coming home in July with the family, and a tradition we've had the past few years is to go to a Bohs game. This year however, the game we'd hoped to attend (vs Galway on July 31st), is sold-out, according to the Bohs website. We'd not had that issue before, was always easy to get tickets. Is it maybe because tickets aren't being released yet, and the site is telling us they're already gone, or can it really be sold out? Thanks for any info....

Hi all, so my elderly mother and (somewhat) disabled sister are alone at home now, my Dad having passed recently. Neither drive, and cabs are expensive, so I'm trying to figure out how to have groceries delivered to them on a regular basis. I live overseas, as do my other siblings. Wondering whether anyone knows of any company that I can set up a regular grocery delivery with. Thanks in advance!

Coming to the end of a glorious decade at a brilliant Astoria elementary school which my kids absolutely loved. I'm dreading the last pick-up day...but wanted to get nice gifts to some of the wonderful teachers we had along the way. Any teachers here with ideas of what you guys love? Sorry, awkward question, but wanted to avoid flowers and mugs. The school in question was incredibly special for us....

Can anyone recommend a great bakery? Anywhere in Astoria is good, or even surrounding neighborhoods. Nothing fancy, just want to start getting decent bread as opposed to the supermarket junk, perhaps treats every so often, but mainly bread. There's one on 30th Ave, in the 40s, but not a fan.
