Storm Moke? I think that's the name? Same possible track.....

This is projected to be the same track or a little more south....

With DeepMind you can use the pointer over the two tracks to see times and wind speeds. This will all change going forward.

https://deepmind.google.com/science/weatherlab

GFS has it on the South side for now...

Honolulu Considers Fining, Jailing Homeless Over Shopping Carts

When you read the story - it's pretty odd that you have two sides. One side says it's theft and it's not property to take (common sense right?) - and the other side says - I/They need it and should have it.

Shopping carts are not cheap. Perhaps we make it clear that stealing shopping carts will land you in jail (yah right) and the City can start their own homeless cart program 🤣

>"Knight of the Institute for Human Services says the ordinance risks punishing poverty rather than solving the conditions that lead people to rely on shopping carts."< - theft is ok because they need it. Stealing food at the store is ok because they are hungry. - No you seek help and food at a shelter. No you cant just steal other people's property because it makes your life easier. That is not one of the "rights".

>Violators could be fined up to $2,000 or jailed for up to a month if found with shopping carts under this proposal.<

Lala’s Wrath: Homes Swept Away, Some Power Outages May Last Months - HECO

>Hawaiʻi Power Outages And Maps

Downed transmission lines – the high voltage lines that carry power from the power plant to the substation where it is connected to neighborhood power lines – have plunged thousands of people across the state into darkness, according to HECO. Sixteen transmission lines are out on Hawaiʻi island, the bulk of the island’s major lines. Nine are out on Oʻahu. This is the primary cause of power outages across the two islands, according to Jim Kelly, HECO’s vice president of government and community relations and corporate communications.<

Current Radar

Hawaii Kai getting hammered. 30-40k without power on east side. Glad I boarded up the one cracked window I had on the east side of the house.

Time to turn on the generator and make some coffee. Need to plug in fridge and freezers. This might be awhile.
