**Title: About to join UVCE ISE/ECE — roast me or save me, I need the truth**

Hey r/UVCE 👋

So I'll probably be landing ISE or ECE at UVCE through KCET 2026 with a rank around 6,000-7,500. Before you ask — yes I know, the rank doesn't reflect what I'm capable of. I scored 297/300 in boards studying completely alone without any coaching, but completely bombed KCET execution due to sleep issues and negative mindset on exam day. Capable of 145+ but ended up with 113. One bad morning decided my college. Fun times.

Now I'm here, probably headed to UVCE, and getting completely opposite opinions from everyone. Half the internet says "UVCE is legendary, best decision of your life." Other half says "bro run, don't join, you'll regret it." I genuinely cannot tell who's lying.

So I'm asking YOU people who are actually there or have graduated. Please be brutally honest because I'm comparing UVCE against taking a drop and aiming higher next year.

Things I actually want to know:

*Campus life* — is there genuinely any social life or is it just classes and go home? Fests, events, clubs — do they actually happen or just on paper?

*Academics* — I've heard teachers barely teach and you have to self study everything while exams cover full syllabus. Is this actually true? How do you survive?

*Placements* — give me REAL numbers for ISE and ECE specifically. Not the inflated highest package stuff. What do average and above average students actually get? Which companies actually come?

*Peer quality* — since it's merit only, are batchmates actually motivated and smart? Or just people who got the rank and don't care?

*Regrets — what's the worst thing about UVCE nobody tells you before joining? What do you wish someone had warned you about?

*Honest opinion* — for someone who's completely self driven, doesn't need spoon feeding, and can handle chaos — is UVCE actually worth it? Or should I just drop and aim higher?

I'm not looking for validation. I'm looking for the truth. Whether that's "UVCE will make you" or "UVCE will break you" I want to hear it.

Is UVCE ISE worth joining? Or shall I take a drop? I've 298 in pcm 114 in kcet i could've easily got 145+ but one night sleep costed 2yrs of hardwork just messed all known stuffs kinda depressed after that such a easy paper but a shitty score

Probably I'll get bmsce aiml through comedk probably and UVCE cse or ise most likely through kcet yeah fucked kcet due to sleep deprivation could've landed at 1k but yeah it's what it's.
