Flock cams and buying products from another state

Does anyone have any anecdotes of someone being busted for driving from KY to another state to buy a certain product? By product, I’m pretty sure it’s understood what I’m referencing. One would think law enforcement would have bigger fish to fry.

2017 CLS 550 questions

I have 2 things happening with my car. The first is a minor annoyance, the second may be something more serious.

First, sometimes the push button won’t start the car. I notice the break is stiff and while the steering wheel lowers, the car won’t start. I have to pull the button off and use my physical key. Fob battery going dead?

Second, I hear a high pitched whistle type noise from the front at idle or lower speed and ends when I accelerate or press the break pedal. Often when I put it in park, the whistle is there until I press the break pedal. Vacuum hose leak somewhere? I had it in for B service last month and told them about the issue but the tech couldn’t replicate the problem (of course…those kinds of noises never happen when the tech drives it LOL)

Thanks for your time and have a splendid day!

UK Hospital - the old one

When does UK plan to fix the entrance & exit to the pickup/drop off area in front of Pavilion H?
This is the entrance to the old hospital where there are many vehicles in and out - patients, shuttle buses, etc. It’s so dang narrow and the road infrastructure getting in and out is bumpy and uneven as can be. It’s like UK just forgot about it.

Beer cheese!

I’ve tried just about all the various beer cheese offerings in my area (Central Kentucky). Do you have a new beer cheese discovery that you’re really loving right now to recommend? Wife & I like to spend some of our weekends traveling around Kentucky to small towns for the day and I’m always looking for a new local beer cheese.

Golden Buffet location history

Golden Buffet on Richmond Rd location has been a few other restaurants in the past 25 years or so. At one point I remember it being The Oldies Cafe for about a minute. But what was it before then? It looks like they’ve kept the same window awnings from previous establishments.

I don’t think it was an Applebees or TGI Fridays. I’m thinking early 90’s era. There used to be a Kroger behind it in the main shopping center back in the day.

Help me remember

A few years ago, I came across a 3 piece heavy prog rock band that I think is from Germany. They were a newer group like from the mid to late 2000’s.

It’s not Triumvirate (there are a few artists with that name), Eloy, Disillusion, Vanden Plas, Sigur Ros or Hirsch Effekt. They reminded me a little of OSI.

Any ideas?

R.I.P. David Clayton-Thomas

What an amazing voice he had! Blood, Sweat & Tears may not be considered Prog Rock but damn those guys had an awesome brass-rock sound that bordered on early prog.

Local radio layoff

DeAnn Stephens is out at I Heart Radio’s 98-1 The Bull. She was co-host of the Don & DeAnn morning show. As of now, Officer Don’s profile is still on their website.

Need some advice

Wife and I are watching her brother’s Morkie for a few months while he’s on assignment with the Marine Corps. She’s 7 years old, 5lbs with 3 legs because a couple of years ago, she got loose from the harness her brother had on her and attacked a much larger dog that bit her right front leg off.
She’s the cutest little thing in the world but oh boy…she’s fearless, moody and smart as a whip.

She loves her playtime in the early evenings when we’re home from work with play-biting and belly rubs etc. But the rest of the time, she’s aloof and not wanting to be bothered. We have our “battle scars” from when we just want to give some head scratches or even boops.

She hasn’t learned her lesson about barking and wanting to go after other dogs in the neighborhood when we take her out for walks. Any advice on how to calm her down and help her be more friendly at home when she’s just chilling on the couch or on one of the dog beds we’ve placed for her?
