Hey y'all I'm 17 I'm moving from vizag to kochi for 3-4 years for University. How's the night life in kochi? What is smth I could do?

Also how hard will it be for me to adapt to locals? I speak Hindi English Telugu odia bengali will try to learn malayalam (sorry if it's spelt incorrectly)

I also don't eat beef but ik it's quite common there i mean I don't mind if others do it's y'all culture idrc ngl but is that gonna be a problem sorry for the ignorance

IIMK- doesn't have a campus, 7 pm curfew, 10 lakhs per annum. Mandatory yoga? 😭

Amritsar - has a campus (haven't heard too much about it). No clue about curfew or yoga. Less than 20 lakhs for 3 years.

But there must be some negatives and problems at IIM Amritsar which I'm unaware of. Would love to know about that

I don't have a particular interest in finance(haven't researched into it) but I'm not bad at maths by any means. And most people there aren't geniuses either and they cope with it.

Rohtak- took the Mam's purse instead of my briefcase might convert might not but the negativity around rohtak is crazy and don't really wanna spend 3 years there (any motivation helps)

Kozhikode - converted somehow but I don't have 40 lakhs to spend on UG honestly idek how much it costs I don't have a clue but I don't have that kind of money I can self finance about 12 lakhs ig but even then nobody knows the ROI and ik clg isn't a placement agency but yet with a big loan that's gonna be haunting me

And ngl i hate the crowd everyone looks so soft and people to get offended over the smallest things really don't wanna spend 4 years with these people.

Indore- fuck ass interview u study for 2 years and u don't get the basic decency of a good panel. "Do you have a speech problem" "you like ipl, did u work in any ipl team"

Asked everyone else about cm of their states governors mujhe maslow index logarithmic equations and bullied me alag MKC inki

Ranchi- 8/9 profile not getting in and they debated me about rasgullas

Amritsar- interview lasted 3 mins it's like they already decided they aren't gonna select me, basic decency bro give a candidate a chance.

Shillong- most people got interactive interested and good panels. Mine was just grilling uninterested and unhelpful.

Like alr it's the last interviews of the season but seriously basic courtesy give us a shot? U were the one who rescheduled it not me.

P1 I don't remember they took me forcefully

2 interviewers both male very chill and friendly but I noticed one of them was either odia/bengali

Now I wasn't sure whether he was odia or bengali cuz both accents are very similar

He asked me rasgulla is of odisha or west bengal

Me being odia defended my state`s pride against the credit stealing invadors of Bengal

and then by his reaction i realised he was Bengali

Tried to cover by saying that historically odisha bihar wb were in the same region hence blah blah

Argued a minute on that and said odisha has GI tag he said brush up on that

Not getting in fs but great panel really wish had the same in indore

Got 99.4%ile in eng and 97.7 in GAT but usse bhi koi clg nahi milega

Asked my fav subject I said economics but it's not my stronghold

Dowry is one of the worst crimes in contemporary India, no doubt about it. And it should remain a crime and implementation should be stricter

Dowry is usually taken in rural areas almost a custom even in 2026. But in urban areas the percentage is significantly lower but does exist.

Yet due to social conditioning cases filed in rural India are negligible percentage wise. But cases filed in urban areas is higher even tho social conditioning still does exist

It's great that because of modernity women are coming out in urban areas.

But ur telling me that a women (urban area) gets married and the couple live peacefully for 5 years and then mother India awakens inside the wife and she realises dowry is wrong and then files a case?

And coincidentally there had been disagreements with the couple just days prior?

Even if the man didn't take dowry the women can lock up the entire family.

How blind is the law to not consider this situation?

There are also cases in which dowry is paid. Now honestly I see it justice served cuz dowry is well illegal. But a thought I had was

You're not a tender 15 year old who didn't know dowry was wrong or illegal ur family paid off

So why bring it up 5 years later? In any other case like corruption you'd be a co conspirator if u paid.

As of now the marriage must last atleast 10 years so that dowry case cannot be filed

I believe it should be significantly reduced?

When admissions happen and offer letters are released i request y'all to report people with the fake certificates if they get in using them

Call it spite call it snitch.

I think out of every 5 people atleast one must know a person with a fake certificate.

Heyy everyone alright I'm from a modest background and a town in odisha.

My grandfather died recently and has a loan amount pending of rs 2 lakhs. In loan terms not very big but for us it's a big amount

The security he kept was rs 50 lakh plots with the bank (I have no fking clue why)

One of which was transferred to my uncle and one to my father after that so it wasn't under my grandfather when he died

Our house is under my grandmother's name

Is there any legal recourse to reduce or void the amount?

My grandmother isn't very well educated I don't want her to get cheated or shit here and well i hate the bank

And he also has his pension amount in that bank but odisha hc ruled last year that the pension amount couldn't be charged by the bank under any circumference

I was thinking maybe a settlement offer to get a bankers discount of 10-15%

But I'm unaware of legal procedures or standards
