Remote job vs MCA from Vit vellore

Got an opportunity for a remote tech job paying around 15k/month, but I’m also considering MCA from VIT Vellore.

I’m confused about what makes more sense long term.

The remote job gives real industry experience early, and I’d continue growing technically while earning. But MCA from a reputed college could offer better placements, networking, and maybe stronger opportunities later.

The only thing making this difficult is the cost and 2 more years of studying.

Would appreciate honest opinions from people in tech:

continue with the remote job and gain experience early

or go for MCA and bet on better future opportunities?

Especially interested in hearing from people who chose one over the other.

Laptop for Developers in 50-60K

Hi all,

I’m looking for laptop recommendations in two budgets:

- Under ₹50k

- Under ₹60k

Main use case:

- MCA coursework

- Full-stack/backend development

- Coding projects, internships, developer work

- Multiple IDEs, browser tabs, databases, etc.

Not focused on gaming or heavy video editing.

Priorities:

- Good processor (Ryzen 7 / Intel i5 or better preferred)

- 16GB RAM preferred (or upgradeable)

- SSD mandatory

- Good battery life and thermals

I can wait for BBD/GIF sales if there are much better deals then.

Would appreciate:

- Exact models worth targeting

- Expected sale prices

- Brands/models to avoid

Thanks

BSNL broadband setup?

Hi everyone,

I’m thinking of getting BSNL broadband for my home setup, mainly for remote work, YouTube, and normal daily usage.

I’m a bit confused about the installation/setup part:

- Does BSNL provide the router/ONT by default, or do I need to buy my own router separately?

- If they provide one, is it decent enough or should I get my own for better stability?

- What’s the total upfront cost these days?

- Installation charges

- Security deposit

- Router/ONT cost

- Any hidden charges

Airtel fiber vs BSNL FIBER ?

I work remotely on a VM, so I mainly want good uptime/stability. 30+ Mbps is enough for me.

Need Wi-Fi + basic STB (YouTube + TV channels) around ₹700/month

Options in my area:

Airtel Fiber

BSNL FTTH

Jio AirFiber only

Which would you recommend for reliable long-term usage?

Hi everyone,

Looking for a good inverter setup in the ₹25–30k range. My usage is around 600W and I need roughly 2–3 hours of backup

I’ve shortlisted a couple of options, but they’re slightly above budget. I’ll still check offline stores in case I get a better deal.

Right now I’m considering a 1000VA inverter with a lithium battery.

Would you recommend going for an inbuilt (all-in-one) unit or a separate inverter + battery setup?

Also open to better suggestions in this budget.
