In early August I was hit with an allegation of breaching academic integrity.

This allegation was in relation to an open book proctored exam. The evidence that was compiled against me is simply from a moment where I got up for just over 5 minutes. I have a medical condition which involves an eye disease. In the break i used the bathroom and took a lap around my house for two minutes. However the uni is alleging I made contact with someone else. I personally have no diea how they came to this conclusion as my webcam and audio was on the whole time. And i can confirm there was not a single person around me when i sat the exam.

I wrote up a written response and reached out to DUSA, they did not recommend any changes to my letter. So i went ahead and sent it a week ago. I was advised the committee is busy but the waiting is incredibly exhausting for me. Especially considering this allegation is simply unture and is weighing so heavily on me.

As a result of this (i have also had other stuff going on in my life), I had a really awful flare up in my illness which is known as a “storm” (note: my illness is an autoimmune disease which is hormonal). This took a really awful toll on me physically and I fell incredibly unwell. I went to the doctors and was treated accordingly. I had to apply for multiple extensions on my assessments. And tbh i feel awful about everything I have submitted.

I apologise for the rant but I have two questions:

- Firstly, when on earth can I expect to hear back from the Academic integrity team. Also, what others who have experienced found the meeting. And anything info you may like to share.

- Secondly, I had an assignment due which I submitted late during the peak of my illness. I applied for special consideration however I was rejected as my medical certificate did not cover the due date and only the dates directly following. This is bc I was not able to see a doctor on the due dare as I wasn’t well mentally and physically tbh. However, i went the next day!

I ended up submitting 4 days late. I am considering just accepting the late penalty but I also dont want to as I was legitimately unwell. Is there anything I can do about this or should I just move on?

Hi, i have applied for special consideration for two of my assignments for a medical reason. I have medial certificates for all dates covered and also a doctor’s note explaining my condition which is a chronic health issue i am being treated for.

I was basically just requesting an additional extension of just the weekend. I received a regular one but due to my health was not able to submit by the new deadline. I applied on Thursday night and have still not heard anything.

I plan to have both assessments submitted by Saturday at the latest as I am worried It will be rejected. I am just curious on what others peoples experiences with special consideration are. Or if anyone has dealt w similar circumstances.

I am also worried I may be rejected tbh. Should I also reach out to my unit chair and explain the situation after I submit tomorrow? I am also worried as in the past the special consideration team has not been very responsive to me in relation to emails. And i had to email them my diagnosis sheet as I was unable to attach it to the application. So I am also worried they wont see that and reject me. I also lowkey wanna edit my comment now that I have my diagnosis statement and explain how the period of illness I experienced was unanticipated but I am not sure how to. As i have just been put on new medication as a result of my recent illness.

If anyone can offer any advice or share experiences i would appreciate it.

Hi, so yesterday I received an email informing me that is suspected I breached academic integrity on an online exam. And i dont want to be dramatic but have been beyond stressed ever since.

The issue they have and the evidence binder is essentially images from a moment where I stood up during the exam. I have got an explanation for why and they lmk I can provide a written response.

However, I did also print a formula sheet (prepared) at the very beginning of the exam which is also something that was mentioned briefly in the evidence binder.

I did make a post about this yesterday but I now know the specific allegation I am being accused of is making contact w another person. I am truly beyond upset by this as I can confirm I did not at all consult anything or anyone that would aid me additionally during the exam.

The printing I was not under the impression would be a problem. I look back now and cannot stop thinking about how badly I wish I did not do it. However, i was under the impression that these exams were supervised and in turn it would be okay bc I retrieved the document on the device while sharing my screen from word. It was one sheet and I did it during the first 3 minutes. Essentially, I am struggling to understand how to argue the specific allegation I am being accused of which is making contact w another person. My audio and camera was on the entire time and I am struggling to even understand how this conclusion was came to. The evidence is literally just photos of my chair from when I stood up??

I will be doing a review meeting eventually unfortunately I was told the wait would be long as they have alot of cases. I am posting this to ask about experiences and if anyone has ever seen something similar. I also hope i have stressed how serious i am when I say i did not consult anything. I also apologise for how all over the place this post probably is.

And I would like to say, I honestly feel for anyone that has or is dealing with this and is innocent. The stress is really unfathomable. I got the email at work and my heart practically sank. I would also like to note i didn’t even do that well on the exam and knew i wouldnt going in. I left multiple questions blank. I just cannot afford to be given a fail because i know this is not true.

Some things I would like to note is during the exam i was allowed to do all that I did. They are just suggesting that I made contact w someone else bc I was off camera for over 5 minutes. I hope those reading this believe me when i say i when i was up i also decided to adjust the heat. I have Graves’ disease and get extreme tremors in my hands when nervous so I needed to warm the room i was in up. I am assuming this is why they are considering my absence suspicious as i was off camera for over 5 minutes(then while i also grabbed the sheet from the printer.). I would also like to reiterate that all of this was in the first ten minutes of the exam and my cam and audio were on. I never once locked my screen!

First of all I would like to apologise if this post is all over the place because I am truly so stressed because this has never happened to me and I never imagined it would.

I have been accused of academic misconduct for an end of unit exam. The exam was open book i want to note too. But anyways, I truly did not do anything or act in any incorrect manner. I know in my heart and I cannot stress this enough and I want whoever reads this to understand that I did not do what the email I received is accusing me of.

The email is basically accusing me of communicating with another student or outside party. I sat the exam at an my house while my parents were at work. There was no one else there. I am considering going to neighbours and asking for surrounding CCTV. I don’t know how else to prove it. The main evidence that they have against me is that I stood up throughout the exam. While I was doing the exam, I really don’t even recall standing up for over 5 mins if im being honest.

I can’t focus on anything and I’m literally at work right now. I feel sick in my stomach because I’m so stressed and I don’t know how to prove that I didn’t do this. I booked an appt w dusa but im still really not okay. I dont want to sound dramatic but i cant even eat. I would like to hear from others who this has ever happened to me. And i apologise for the messy post but i dont want to be too detailed. I also have other assignments due tomorrow and today but am really struggling to focus. 😐

I am a first time watcher. I just recently finished Gossip Girl and loved it, someone recommended I start this show. But oh my god its pure rage bait😭.

Firstly, all the relationships are legit disasters. Initially I did feel the spark between mike and susan. But dear lord the amount of unnecessary drama and plots to keep them apart. Baffling and I literally hate them now😭. Also I cannot even get STARTED on lynette and tom…

Secondly, the amount of deaths. I have already spoiled so much for myself and I cant get past Mike and Edie being killed off. I obviously do not have all the context but i dont see myself feeling good about the ending of this show. I would like to say that I dont love Edie specifically but I hate the idea of killing off a funny character from the first season. Also susan and Mike being divorced in s5 after just getting married.

I just dont even know if its worth finishing this show bc I always get really hung up on shows w unsatisfying endings lol😭

Blairs character development was when she ended it w chuck to focus on becoming the woman she wanted to be. NOT when in between her marriage and divorce (its all blury to me) she began planning her coming out as a couple w dan. The writers did her so wrong in s5. A blair centred season and all they did was make her a love interest💔. The writers were insane for making her suffer so much and putting no weight on it.

Imo blairs best era was s4! I loved to see her at columbia and working at W. I feel like the writers ruined everything in season 5.

Firstly, i will address dair the shameful friendship era I LOVED. It was so funny when they were trying to keep them hanging out a secret. Dan falling in love w her i struggle w considering blairs past w jenny (blair had literally just banished her from the city) coupled w her always being the one to treat him like he wasnt “one of them”. Which btw is why i will never understand the juxtaposition between the way he wrote serena and blair in inside. But anways i personally believe they should have always stayed friends. However, i do understand the appeal of them dating but the writers completely tanked any chance they had by introducing louis.

So onto louis and blair. Initially, i loved this relationship bc blair was so happy when it began. He was even willing to give up his title for her. And they gave us one of the most heartbreaking chuck and blair moments! The s4 finale when they chuck tells her she deserves her fairytale. To me the show could have ended there!

But ofc the writers refuse to allow any real development and basically immediately remove the weight behind this scene in s5e7 when blair begins scheming to prove chuck is trying to ruin her engagement. I dont wanna spend to much time breaking it all down but in s5 despite her relationship w louis blair could nott let chuck go. She was continuously dragging him back into it. Not saying he is a saint but at this point in the show he was okay w her engagement she was the one who had a problem w it. But i will say imo louis was kinda awful he was ready to leave blair when he thought she slept w dan although she was pregnant. He wouldnt even have a convo w her.

Then after the accident everything falls apart. The pact, the wedding, the divorce. Blair is isolated from everyone at this point. And instead of giving her a plot of trying to get her life back she is in another relationship. To me this is the worst thing about the whole show. The writers put no weight on the hell they put blair through w a miscarriage. She deserved a wayy better plot than all of s5b! To me she was all ooc the whole time. We never even see her check in on serena once after loosing cece. To me the loss of blair and Serenas friendship during this time was a big issue.

Anyways, to me s6 was funny. I can agree the writing was awful (bringing bart back). But it was nice to see the show get funny moments back s6e1 everyone coming together to find serena. I loved blair and georgina in that ep!! And i thought it was nice tha they didnt immediately have chuck and blair.

But overall my biggest point of contention w this show will always be putting Blair through a miscarriage and divorce but putting no weight on it.

Hi everyone, is it mandatory to choose the 8 core units in my first year as a commerce student?

For t1 i did 4 out of the 8 and found it all good. But Long story short for t2 i have two heavy mathematical units that I am enrolled in.

But Im also having to work really long hours at the moment so i want to put them off and take them later into my degree. Not because I am incapable of doing them but because to do well in them ill have to have alot less on my plate in relation to my working hours (which r out of my control atm and i need this job). Last semester I did the economics and accounting units and did well but i spent alot of time studying for them the accounting one specifically.

But yeah if yes, can I just go into student connect and change this? Or will i have to reach out to student central? I had done so in January looking for help when i was enrolling which is where I was told to choose the core ones first.

His initial death was genuinely done very well and created great dramas and storylines for all the characters. But taking that away just for him to fall of that building w the marvel music playing?? I clicked off and took a lap bc wth😭😭😭.

To bring him back as some insane murderer cartoon villain was a choice. But even worse was the way he hated and wanted to destroy chuck. In the first two seasons they had a complex and interesting relationship. He literally left chuck and note giving him bass industries saying he believes in him and spoke about their relationship and how he imagined chuck was feeling and so on! Even worse chuck spent all that time missing his dad and was chronically lonely and depressed after for the entire show. I refuse to believe the writers planned him (bart) to come back.

I wish the writers to put the pen down or gave it to someone new because the Bass family could have had alot more potential!! They could have made the Bass family alot more interesting w all the material. Like elizabeth and all her secrets, jack and barts relationship, and Elizabeths involvement w both of them. Instead we just kept hearing about bass industries😭.

Especially considering when he wrote it blair had just banished his sister from the city😭?? Moreso blair was the one who constantly attacked him for not being “one of them”. And he brings up both of these things in his sequel of the book??😭

I would have understood if Blair was not included or given the same treatment as Serena but the juxtaposition between the way he wrote about the two of them is wild.
