25 applications. Multiple verified skills. Zero contracts. What am I missing ?

Hey all, hoping to get some perspective from people who’ve actually landed contracts through micro1.

I’m a software engineer and I’ve applied to around 25 roles on the platform so far (3 still pending review). Most of these are software engineering positions. Over time my verified skills have built up to the point where interviews are noticeably shorter now, the AI clearly has more to go on and moves through screening faster. But none of that has translated into an actual contract yet.

At this point I’m not sure if it’s:

- Volume/competition on the specific roles I’m going for
- Something about how I’m framing my experience in the profile vs. what verified skills alone can show
- Timing (roles filling before review finishes)
- Something else entirely in how client matching works on the backend

If anyone’s gone through a similar dry spell and figured out what actually moved the needle, whether it’s tweaking your profile, picking different role categories or something about how the platform surfaces you to clients, I’d really appreciate the pointers. Also curious if 25 applications with no contract is normal for this platform right now or a red flag I should be worried about.

Thanks in advance.

No project

Hi everyone. I've been on outlier for months now and still haven't gotten a project. My marketplace is always empty. What skills should I be aiming for in order to up my chances ? I already have the following:

- Coding
- Computer Science
- CSS
- Docker
- Dutch
- French
- HTML
- Java
- JavaScript
- JSON
- Python
- SQL

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

JSON & Coding Evaluation Expert; what happens after passing the assessment?

Hey everyone,

I just applied for the JSON & Coding Evaluation Expert project and completed the assessment. My application now shows: “Requirement met on 8/16/2026” & “You are either on the roster or were previously considered for this project.”

Does anyone know what the next steps usually are after this?

I saw another post mentioning that communication for the project happens through Slack, but I don’t have Slack access yet. Is that normal at this stage, or should I have received an invite already?

Also, is anyone here currently working on this project? If so, how long did it take after completing the assessment before you heard back or got access to tasks?

Thanks!

Has anyone else experienced something similar with Alignerr?

Has anyone here had their Alignerr account d€activat€d while still having approved work awaiting payment?
I currently have around 45 hours of Pairwise V3 work pending, all tasks that already passed review. I’ve contacted support to no avail, but I’d really like to hear from others who experienced this.
Did you eventually get paid, and how long did it take?
