I spent a lot of time working on this run and I’m really happy to finally finish it.

I had been using an iPhone 13 for about 4 years and upgraded to the iPhone 17 a few days ago. Honestly, it doesn’t feel like a massive upgrade compared to all the hype from YouTubers and reviewers. Here are my personal pros and cons after using it

Pros:

3000 nits brightness is amazing especially outdoors.
The camera is better, but not a huge jump from the iPhone 13
A19 chip is incredibly fast apps open noticeably quicker than on my iPhone 13
Display quality is excellent overall
120Hz refresh rate is nice although it still doesn’t feel as smooth as my friend’s OnePlus 15

Cons:

Battery life isn’t that impressive especially on 5G. It drains faster than I expected.
The phone gets heat when using the camera
Dynamic Island hasn’t been very useful for me.
The dedicated camera button feels unnecessary and I rarely use it 😂
Overall it’s a good phone but for me it doesn’t feel like the huge upgrade that many people made it out to be.
