My Happy Place…

60x40’ shop. 14’x14’ poly doors. 16’ ceiling. Heated and air conditioned with 2 x two ton heat pumps and HRV to manage humidity. Really used to store equipment, watch sports and movies, sleep out there in the XL bunkbeds once in a while. Kids love to have friends out there. Still some things I would like to do like polish the concrete floors.

New Safety Chain

Could not believe this new trailer came with no safety chain so immediately added one along with a turnbuckle and chain to keep the bow from bouncing on the trailer. Just a 17’ boat but will feel better pulling the trailer now.

Detroit Style

First time making this style and 2 hour dough rise in the pans. Turned out great.

New boat, first day!

Rossiter 17 Center Console with a 115 hp Merc. Ran great, comfortable, easy to solo launch.

Transfer time needed arriving @ Heathrow Terminal 5?

Hello all, flying in from Canada and arrive Heathrow Terminal 5 at 6:15 am. Had booked flight to Edinburgh that morning that was supposed to depart at 10:00 am but its been changed to 8:40. We will be doing carry-on luggage only. Should be lots of time to make our connecting flight if we arrive on time? Thanks all! We are flying Club World Business for the first time with BA, very excited family!

Good week, hit my goal!

My wife and I now in serious retirement talks and making plans. The goal for a long time was $5 mill but we have blown past it, the final jump from $6 to $7 million took less than 8 months. Mid 50’s. Portfolio is about 50% VEQT the rest a small handful of other efts. Heavy US with VTI which we’ve owned a long time in our RRSPs and about $900k of VFV. If we were starting today I would buy 100% VEQT/XEQT. We are about 85/15 with only fixed income in RRSPs. Very simple buy and hold, etfs only, keep fees low and ignore the noise strategy.
