I need some guidance in terms of my ADHD and how they affect me in my activities - feel like I'm wasting my stimulation on non-academic activities (new to medication btw)

I have been on ADHD medication - methylphenidate (18 mg + 10 mg SR between 7-8 am) and (10 mg SR booster dose at 12 pm).

Initially I experienced greater motivation and focus in my academic tasks that I was previously used to procrastinate about.
Over the course of a month or so, I've started feeling the focus dwindle in my academics.
Instead, now I feel hyperfocused and stimulated during my workouts or just ANY physical activity.

I used to workout before starting medication as well, and even then, the mere act of being doing physically rigorous and intense activity used to allow me to be fully focused without stimulants (including coffee as most days I wouldn't drink caffeine before workouts).

I won't say that I'm procrastinating just as badly as I was before, but it feels like the stimulation I'm supposed to be putting into my academics is being "wasted" on my workouts.

Have you ever dealt with something like this, and if so, how did you work it out?

Best places (vibes/views/wtv) in Mumbai to smoke a cigarette?

This post does not intend to promote smoking.

Personally, I think smoking is hella fun.

This is the last month of vacation I'll ever have before employment begins. I want to properly explore Mumbai in a way that I can hit both the major spots and the gatekept spots.

I could smoke a cigarette practically anywhere, sure. But I want to make a thing out of it.

Drop your recommendations and hmu if you wanna tag along

My college is holding our Transcripts and LORs hostage unless we pay ₹4500 for an external placement training made compulsory. Anyone else faced this?

They recently tied up with some external company for placement training and are now demanding an extra ₹4500 from every single student. The worst part? They are forcing people who don't even want placements (people going for Master's, etc.) to pay for and attend this.

Here are their rules:

  • Pay ₹4500 extra
  • Need 80% attendance in this specific training + overall 60% marks in their tests to even be eligible for placements.
  • They're openly saying placements are just a value-addon and not a right.

As you can see in the message, they are officially threatening to deny LORs and academic transcripts to anyone who doesn't register and pay.

A few questions for you guys:

  • Is it even legal/ethical to hold LORs and transcripts hostage because someone didn't pay for an optional career path training?
  • Can a college legally force you to join an external paid service when these skills should ideally be part of the curriculum we already paid tuition for?
  • Is the college liable for any legal action if they actually refuse to hand over transcripts for higher education over this?

Has anyone's college pulled a stunt like this before? How did you guys deal with it?
