I'm considering B.Tech in VLSI Design & Technology at CAS Lucknow, but it's a relatively new branch. My other options are CSE at AKGEC/GL Bajaj.

Is VLSI from a tier-3 college worth it? Can students get good core VLSI placements, or is M.Tech almost necessary? Which option would you choose and why? Honest opinions are appreciated.

I'm getting CSE in both AKGEC and GL Bajaj through AKTU counselling, but I'm confused about which one to choose.

Coding culture

Faculty & academics

Internship opportunities

College life and attendance

I'm really confused about Freeze and Float. If I choose Float, can I still be considered for the colleges below my current allotted one?

Also, if I get any college from the choices I filled in the first round, do I have to book/accept that seat by paying the seat acceptance fee, or can I simply skip it and wait for the next round?
