Is this rosewood?
I’m really curious about the material this furniture is made from. A reverse image search found an almost identical sideboard that claimed to be rosewood, but I thought I’d consult some professionals. Thanks!!

Apparently this is a common frustration with Duolingo- you make progress in a course, then it updates, throwing in lots of new vocab all throughout and acting like you should know it because youve technically ‘completed’ those levels.
I was halfway through section 3 of Spanish when this happened. Lessons that used to be fun are now frustrating because there’s lots of vocab I don’t know.
Do you restart the course entirely when this happens?
Or have you found a way to not allow updates?
I am soon to build something very similar to this dresser, but figuring out wood movement on this top piece here has given me pause. It looks to me like the restrained boards in the big middle section would eventually force joints apart, especially considering the mitered corner at the edge of the dresser top (I included a close up picture of it).
It kind of reminds me of breadboard ends on a table except the ‘breadboard’ pieces don’t run the entire width.
It also kinda reminds me of floating panels in some cabinet doors, and for that reason, I was thinking about a similar construction method to that.
What would you do? Am I overthinking it?
I think the title says most of it, but for a little more context, I know I need to get some college level prerequisite classes knocked out to even qualify, but I’m hoping for advice to really maximize my odds of getting in sooner rather than later.
I did have good grades in highschool, but I’m not sure if that’s relevant or not. The community college program here is very limited, so I’m concerned about ‘gambling’ too much time and effort on a career when I may not even make it into the program.
Just attempted a meet up with a lady who, unfortunately, got a ticket on the way to meet me. She showed up irate and cursing at me for not warning her and we wound up not completing a transaction (thank god I didn’t get her my home address!). I blocked her before I even left the parking lot.
Can she still leave me a rating?
She did pause before leaving the parking lot so I’m concerned she already left me one before I could block her, but I didn’t get the ‘Jane left you a rating’ message so hopefully not!
Update: I just tested it with a friend and they weren’t able to leave me a review after I blocked them, so hopefully I’m in the clear!!
I’m thinking of building this pine dining table.
Of course, the big box stuff is gonna be too prone to contortion. Where do you get decent pine to build furniture from?
I’d really appreciate any advice!
I’m interesting in getting into this just for passion. I know that for the majority of trainers, the money is nothing fantastic.
40k is what I need to comfortably cover my life expenses.
Is this realistic in the first year of my career, or expecting too much? If not, will I have to burn myself out to hit that target?
Opinions would be greatly appreciated!

Hi! I’m excited to be prepping for my first build: this pine dresser. Simple design.
I’m familiar with the basics of how I’ll actually handle the construction side (though if you have any tips you can think of I’d be grateful!)
Where would you source your pine for a project like this? Would you get select pine from a big box store, or go for a pine from a wood supplier that you’ll have to mill yourself? Or something else?
I’d be very grateful to learn from your expertise!
I’m curious about how y’all are doing in entry levels of this job market! Starting my degree soon and I’d like an idea of what I’m up against. I look forward to hearing some insight!
Bonus points if you’d include a salary range or other certifications (masters, cpa, etc!)
I know that that are some people who will split the bonus they get for referring you, but I’m also seeing some posts saying that you can use their code to get a bonus from CSL for being referred.
Has anyone gotten a bonus for being referred? Or only if the person you got the referral from splits it with you?
I know you can’t truly identify a wood based solely on a picture, but I’d love to hear what you’d use to replicate this look.
I’m going to be building this dresser soon and I really love the look of the wood.
