Made a crawler course in the garden!
Cleared a space in the garden for a small crawler course for my sons SCX24 and my TRX-4M, really pleased with the result, it's not super challenging as he's only 4, but really does offer some cool crawling m

After some help from the guys on here and folks at my local club I'm alot more comfortable with my flying, to the point where I'm fairly competent at sport flying to the point I've lost orientation of my little M2 a couple of times 😄 . More than excited to welcome the M4, it's about as large as I think I'll be comfortable with and need (famous last words), I just wished they would update the canopies!
Standard OMP build running a Brain2.
I'm currently experiencing quality issues with PETG.
Before I go too far, I will confess I am the standard P1S user with limited knowledge on setup. I'm currently halfway through a project, and my quality seems to have dropped off on these latest components.
I did initially think it was a top layer/ironing issue, but given the layer quality, I think I've had an issue the whole way through this print.
I'm using Elegoo matte PETG and the generic bambu PETG filament settings, bed temp, nozzle temp etc which has worked well.
As mentioned, I've had no issues up until these 2 pieces, same roll of filament.
Any advice would be great. I'm excited to learn more about the troubleshooting/setup side.
Cheers
A relative passed recently, while clearing possessions we've found a small bottle of liquid mercury, less than 100ml.
The council hasn't been overly helpful in disposing of this, as the council says to speak to the local waste yard and the local waste says to speak to the council. We want to dispose of it correctly as it's pretty lethal obviously.
Does anybody have any experience in disposing of this?
So pleased with this build, finished and maidened today, and I'm super happy with it. The finished spec is -
Kavan pro 3542 950 KV, HW Skywalker 60a V2, 2200 3s, 6 Etronix ET2008 servos, AR8360 currently running a 13x4 prop.
Over the moon with it after running a good few batteries through it this evening, I've built from the kit, so I was pleased to be able to spec up as I wanted. Really pleased with the flight characteristics, the slow flight is unbelievable, the barn doors bring it to a crawl, since I'm running an 8ch I'm half tempted to setup crow too, but since flying with the flaps I dunno if it needs anymore aero braking 😄. The vertices climb and hover is fantastic, so much thrust and a decent punch out.
I've spent the last year training with my FMS PA-18 1300 mm and finally decided to retire the FMS after a fair few crashes/repairs, leaving it more glue and sticks than foam 😄
Hi folks, looking for some advice regards practicing my flying. I'm currently flying a OMP M1 V3 and a OMP M2 Evo.
I'm really struggling to get to grips with hovering but wondering if it's the constraints of my environment or just lacking in skill.
I'm a fairly competent RC plane flier, so my coordination is there and I'm able to fly and maneuver the helicopter around where I'd like, but I really struggle to maintain a hover. I can keep the heli in one spot, but it really struggles with altitude. With no input on the pitch the heli drops or climbs, sometimes fairly sharply. It's controllable and recoverable but does catch me out occasionally.
I tend to fly in my back garden, it's a decent size but also is on a slant. I keep my altitude low as not to loose it over the fence come the worst, but usually fly at 4-5 feet off the floor. Am I suffering the ground affect? It seems like I should be out of the wash, but I'm not too sure.
Any advice would be great, am I expecting too much or is it fairly standard to constantly be on the pitch?
