Which Giannini is this?

Can anyone tell me exactly which model this is? I haven't found anything that looks like it.

Do you happen to know how much it might be worth?

Thanks!

Can i make the changes for good?

Hi i'm using a dual boot system with windows and batocera. I use the throttlestop app in windows and can't do the same in linux/batocera. And everytime I boot in windows i need to open the app and do the changes.

Is there a way to make these changes about the CPU TDP for good so I don't need to open the app every time I boot the system? (And hopefully it may work in linux batocera as well)

lenovo m720q cpu bottleneck

so i got this m720q and just got a rtx 3050. But im having trouble to play heavy games like switch and ps3 like mario kart and crash racing team.

I use dual boot for playing windows games and I was having the same throttling there. But after watching this video. I got this program called throttlestop that solved my windows problem after changing 10w power limit to 35w again.

It seems to change automatically after putting an external gpu. Now games like Dragon ball Sparkling zero are playable as heaven in windows.

On the other side i still have problems to run games in batocera and i feel i cant use the full system potential. Even the audio if horrible when trying highend titles.

How can i know how much W is the CPU using? Any ideas how can I change the CPU TDP?

Do I need to do something similar in linux/batocera to reach the same results as windows?

specs: lenovo m720q

  • win 11 + batocera
  • i5 9500t 35 tdp
  • RTX 3050 gigabyte low profile
  • 16gb ram
  • 2tb ssd m2 kootion
  • 230w power supply

Let me know if im forgeting any information, thanks a lot.

Edit: cpu stays at 40°c in mario kart (26 fps) a clear signal of underusage

4+ games suggestions

Hey, i'm building a batocera machine to carry with me to parties and barbecues, and I would appreciate some game suggestions for 4+ players.

I know very few about this kind of party games since I just play online ones.

I'm searching for specifics title suggestions. I mean, Mario Kart is a good choice but wich versions are that good?

some filters (not mandatory) :

- Can be old or modern games. But preference for modern ones since both kids and adults will play;

- 4 or more players, I know there are some crazy games like bomberman copy up to 8 players;

- low learning curve since ppl wont play the same game a lot;

- Preference for Funny/fast paced games. But an adventure is welcome as well

- Games that make such a great impression that people want to play more

Thanks.

What am I doing wrong?

I want this 1.2TB partition to be the batocera ROMS partition (Share). In windows (minitool partition) it says SHARE, but in batocera "user disk usage" it says 256mb.

Is there something wrong? Do I just have 256mb or do I have all the 1.2TB being used in Batocera? shouldn't it be shown in batocera sys info?

I use dual boot windows and batocera in same ssd.

Splash screen idea

it is in portuguese, but let me know if u want an english ver for download.

Edit download: English and Spanish ver.

Main inspirations: Marvel, DBZ, Cinema

I’ll be taking this Batocera-equipped mini PC to events and parties to play with friends, so even though the video is long, people will likely see it only one to three times at most—and most will see it just once. The main point is that it gets shown once at each location I visit.

How to play custom boot up video and sound when PC turns on?

I`m building a 1L thinkcentre pc inside a PS1 FAT Case and I have a simple question, no matter how hard it will be: How to play the PS1 intro instead of windows startup logo and hud when windows boots.

I know its not a safe or simple task since it can cause malfunction. But i'm actually bulding a gaming station to run games only, no other tasks.

I know there is a way to run VLC when windows finish the startup sequence (that's my plan B). But this is a tiny 1L build i want to have with me in parties using tv/monitors/projectors. That said, as a designer, I want to bring joy, nostalgia and a good gaming experience.

I'm also running batocera. And the reason I have windows is for some games from steam and simple usage of pc anytime.

How much is this account worth (3-9 in 70 secs + Divine Armor)?

Theoretically speaking, for how much do you think I could sell an account with this item and a team that clears 3-9 in 70 seconds? And on which site can I do that?

Can I upgrade a thinkcentre Lenovo m70q with a dedicated GPU?

So, I know there is not a pcie 16x slot for a dedicated GPU but i've got a RX550 and I would like to install in this 1L pc (I have another case to solve space problem).

I want to know if a M.2 to PCIE adapter 8x solves the slot problem, if it will work well. I never used this adapter and want to know if it works well, what do u think? Any other solution here? What could go wrong at this build? Adapter Lenovo thinkcentre m70q

So, I’ve been pursuing this marble racing idea as my first multiplayer project. I got the idea from an AI-generated video. The main idea is to create a colorful game where you actually control the sphere, unlike traditional marble racing games where gravity does most of the work.

In my last post, some people suggested games like Hamster Ball and Marble Blast, and also recommended momentum-based obstacles for my game. My goal is to build something where at least 6 players can race at the same time.

  • Do you have any ideas to add?
  • Based on previous feedback, I added obstacles to slow down the leading players. The idea is to encourage collisions so players bounce around the track, giving those in last place a chance to catch up.
  • What would you like to see in a game like this?
  • Do you think this type of project has potential?
  • Do you know the right place to collect feedback, ideas and tips about game dev? (idk if here is the best place)

Thanks for your feedback!
Here’s a video of what I have so far (DEMO VIDEO)

Hi, I just started learning Unreal Engine and now i`m trying to make this demo for a marble race game. But instead of those games where u just let the gravity do all the work, here you can control your character (a ball) and race with your friends.

I got the idea from an AI video on Pinterest and thought it would be a funny idea to transform into a game. This is my main inspiration. But now that I spent a day at this track and physics i`m wondering if it will be fun to play or not.

Would u play a game with this idea?
What do u expect in a marble race game where you can control the ball?
Which obstacles/challenges would you like to see in a track?
Any advice for a beginner?

I`m expecting to make a racetrack demo for at least a dozen of players to race together.

Here is a video of what i have until now: https://youtu.be/vafS33Oems8

These are my inspirations for the game aesthetics: https://pin.it/3IBZkhCOu

I have other games in mind to use for inspiration. Thanks!
