It's all anodized aluminum except for the clasp

Basically it's WGM small scales joined by 16 awg 4.75 AR rings, with exceptions for the Byzantine segment and the joining of the sides at the bottom

Which times of the day are the best to get gas station hotdogs, in your opinion?

Any tips for reducing feedback in this band practice space?

Ideally on the cheap. Doesn't need to be perfect, doesn't need to soundproof, just needs to reduce feedback just a little bit more

I have a bunch of leftover carpet from when I had my carpet replaced, was thinking of covering those bare spots on the walls with it

Also was thinking of setting up the PA speakers as monitors, and perhaps changing the layout of the room

We are using SM58s but I have SM57s I can also use

Any tips at all? Thanks in advance

Which places have nail polish thinner/revitalizer in town?

Nobody will ship it to Alaska, Ulta and Sephora don't have it. Gotta find it in town. Checked the subreddit search function and couldn't find what I needed.

▲ 16 r/Bass

Which 3 songs would you pick from this setlist to audition a bass player, and why?

Setlist:

Sex and candy - Marcy Playground

Semi-charmed life - third eye blind

Island in the sun - Weezer

Lithium - Nirvana

song 2 - blur

Gotta keep em separated - Offspring

Zombie - Cranberries

Bound for the Floor - Local H

My own worst enemy - LIT

Teenage Dirtbag - Wheatus

Buddy Holly - Weezer

Say it ain't so - Weezer

I am the drummer for the 90s cover band doing this, but have played bass for 26 years. I just kinda am not sure which to pick since I've never had to audition a bass player before, only been on the other side of things

I do think fun should be a factor. I don't want them bored

I have been the sound person for live bands many times but soon I will be doing sound for a drag show for charity, any tips?

As stated in the title, I have over the years been the sound person a lot, but only in the "live local band" setting. Think like, 4 bands max in a night.

This weekend I'm gonna do sound for a charity drag show for a non-profit, but never have done that kind of show before. Sounded pretty straightforward compared to live band stuff, and their sound person dropped out last minute (and apparently sucked), so I decided to do a community member and long time friend a favor and take over the sound. She begged, so I told her I've never done drag sound before but she was desperate, so fuck it, we ball.

Is there any advice for me, that maybe I haven't thought about?

It's gonna be basically me playing tracks for each performer, with an MC mic'd up and a stage mic for talking, as well as a couple performers actually doing their own singing.

Sound system is allegedly good (used to be a church) but about 10 years old, which is within the "sweet spot" for what kind of gear I'm best at. It's a community space meant to accommodate many kinds of events and have random people doing sound.

Sounded pretty simple to me but I want to avoid hiccups, and would love any advice.

I'll be bringing some backup gear in my car just in case. A mixer, a good number of XLR and 1/4" cables, and a few backup mics.

I have a pain pump due to having had surgery on Friday and it feels so futuristic, kinda like a pain editor without the cyberpsychosis (yet lol)

It slowly releases a constant stream of local anesthetic under my skin through a couple tiny tubes. The nurse in the recovery room was like "wow I wish all my patients were like this" over me geeking out over having devices and drains and shit attached to me instead of grossed out or anxious

Kinda feels like I've got primitive cyberware or some shit lol

Anyone else feel like that when they got tubes coming out of them, stuff implanted, etc? Lol
