Looking for good restaurants (preferably on the more affordable side) that frequently have live music. Ive been to Old World Deli before and liked it, looking for more places like that. Any reccomendations?
Im also open to just music venue reccomendations as well, doesnt necessarily need to be restuarants
This is my Schrade Uncle Henry LB3 pocket knife. This was a gift from my father when I was a kid and a very prized possession of mine. Its been put through a lot of use and survived some decent wear and tear...including 5 years of exposure to the elements. The long story short of that is that it somehow fell out of my pocket (still don't know how) when I was out on my parents property and I was never able to find it until 5 years later with a metal detector. Despite being exposed to the wet, nasty conditions of PNW weather, with minimal cleaning and a little WD40, my knife was back to being in good usable condition. So, if you need a good knife, apparently vintage, USA-made ones like my Schrade are durable enough to survive heavy use and years worth of weather-exposure.
That being said, now I'm feeling like taking the time to try and properly restore more closely to its original condition (pic 2), if possible. If anyone has some suggestions or advice, I'd love to hear it
Im not sure if this fits since its more "de-microsoft" rather than degoogle, but i figured this community would have advice and suggestions. Im finally starting to want more data privacy, switching from Google products like chrome to more private ones, VPN, all that. Id like to change my os too, from windows to Linux, but im worried about compatability issues with software i may want to download. With windows, theres a lot less of a concern that theres a version compatable with my os than there would be with Linux. Ive considered dual booting but then id have less space on my drive. Im also considering maybe having an external drive for windows, so i can dual boot without losing that storage but id rather just do away with it entirely honestly.

I'd like to do the same with my phone too, with all ive been seeing about the android os stuff thats been going on, start looking into an alternative os for my phone (if such a thing exists) but once again, id be worried about the compatability of my apps

Well, I got scammed buying a used car. I was really confident I'd looked at everything I could, it drove great, no weird smells, no smoke from the exhaust, seemed well taken care of. Previous owner had inspection from Toyota dealership saying it was all good except for small valve cover leak. That wasnt a deal breaker to me, I figured just old age had worn the gasket down and I know how to replace it myself.
Well, turns out thats not the case. Took it in to my mechanic, turns out the engine has bad blow by and they say it'll need a new engine at some point in the near future. It still runs and drives fine far as I can tell, and the only way I know theyre right is that when the engine is revved, some smoke comes out the exhaust. Something I didn't even consider checking when I bought it, I just saw no smoke when it was idling and assumed it was okay. So, in the mean time, I'm just planning to keep an eye on the oil, fill as needed, do regular maintenance, and basically just wait for it to die. I'm pissed at myself for not noticing but whats done is done, and I'm just trying to figure out how I can make this piece of crap work for me now. What options are there? Is there anything i can do? Are waiting for the engine to crap out and get a new one or rebuilding it really my only options here?
