Escape to victory ending
At the end of the 1980s sporting classic the Allies starting XI score a goal in the last minute to win the match against the German Reich XI. The fans then run on the park and the Allies escape.
There are growing reports that Hearts and Rangers think that match should have been awarded to the Nazis.
Different tone when it's another club
This has been going round online. It's the reporting from when Killie got promoted and the fans entered the field.
No condemnation, no pearl clutching here.
Interesting article on BBC
Funny how this is a "celebration" while ours is an "invasion".
Laurence Shankland red card
Among all the drama, and supposed controversy about referees, nobody seems to remember that Shankland should have received a red card (second yellow).
He was booked for a clash with Sarrachi, and then mins later brings down Maeda on the break, which is almost always a bookable offence. Not to mention the afters he had with Daizen.
The BBC noted it in their live text, but strangely didn't think it deserved any attention later.
This obviously doesn't suit the "Hearts Cheated" story that they are so keen to push
Osmond changed the game
Among the excitement and drama, it's worth noticing that Osmond changed that game.
He breaks behind their defence to set up Maeda, and along with Ihenacho pressures their defence into the mistake for 3-1.
Martin O'Neill played a blinder, because McInnes would not have expected him to take part.
He won us this league.
Trying to predict tomorrow
It's a fool's errand to try and predict the outcome of a football match. A red card, a penalty, a freak individual performance can change everything.
But I have us as slight to moderate favourites tomorrow.
ADVANTAGES
Home advantage is massive, and will hopefully be electric. This could be massive and give us a huge lift. I also personally think it's an advantage knowing we need to win. I think that clarity helps.
Form is also good. Our only home defeat under O'Neill was against Hibs with 10 men, and Hearts only recent away win was against Hibs who had 9 men. Though a draw is enough for them.
I also think Hearts are missing a wee bit of depth in midfield. I noticed that Devlin was subbed off for a RB in Wednesday (Altena). Halkett is a loss too, coupled with Maeda's return to form.
DISADVANTAGE
A small thing that concerns me is that AJ and KT are likely to both be subbed. In other words 2 of our 5 subs will be fullbacks, limiting what we can change elsewhere.
We are one winger short, Forrest apparently not able to start, Tounetki is not good enough tbh. Shankland and Braga are going to be tough against Scales and Trusty.
Hearts will get chances tomorrow. I'm also not confident we have the composure to hang on at 2-1 if under pressure.
OVERALL
I have us as slight favourites, maybe 2-1, or 3-1 at best.
In memory of Tommy Burns
It's now 18 years this day that the great man passed. Tommy lived for days like tomorrow!
In fact he helped deliver a day like tomorrow 😊
I still remember it, and felt that in some ways that title was one of the best and most emotional.
I always thought that if he had not have passed he would have been the interim manager after Mowbary and not Lennon. It would have changed our history.
On another wee note (hope people don't mind this), I recently had a lesion checked that turned out benign. But it was an eye opener about what the signs of skin cancer can be, and a wee bit of a nervy wait. It's also a relatively common cancer and there is a good chance that at least one of the people who sees this post will be affected, or loves someone who will.
So if you have any doubts about a new or old mole, (changing, asymmetrical, rough borders, different colours) best get it checked to be safe. It doesn't have to be painful, bleeding, or irritating to be cancer.
Probably nothing, like mine, but always worth checking!!!
*Note, this is UK based post, but all comments welcome (Incase anyone wondered about "NHS"). Also I'm new here so apologies if this is not allowed.
I noticed a small bruise like mark on my ankle a few weeks ago, with a slightly red part. It's mostly flat and I'd struggle to spot it from touch. It's certainly quite notable visually, any maybe the size of a small coin. Going past old photos had it for 6-9 months.
I assumed it was related to the large amount of walking I do, not helped by being overweight.
Went to GP, who in turn referred me to a "Teledermist" appointment. I've probably mispelled that but basically a nurse took a photo with a dermascope to be reviewed by a specialist. They said it could take 2 weeks to get back to me.
Keen to get a quicker result I went to a private practice the next day who did the exact same thing. Specialist looks at it remotely. They got back to me the same day and said it was "cappilartis", excuse my likely misspelling again (Dyslexia), but it's basically just a mini benign blood leak. It was noted as benign, and "no further action was required". Looked the specialist up, seems highly credible, has worked with NHS, has written a textbook, I think even was on ITV once.
But (as you may have guessed),
The NHS saw it a bit different. They want to biopsy the mark. They noted atypical features, eaten borders, dotted blood vessels, and scale. Potential Lentigo Meligna (stage 0?) or Basal Cell Carcinoma. On the report this was noted as "?LM ?BCC". Question marks I assume are because they are not sure.
So my question is, is this likely medical caution? Maybe it's just really hard to diagnose skin conditioms?
I'm not upset about it, I think it would be much worse if I never checked. I could just be extremely unlucky and have the one lesion that an expert missed (maybe he just had an off day). I think doctors have a really tough job, and understand they are also humans.
I will absolutely proceed with biopsy, and hopefully if it is something nasty it's very early stage.
Thanks in advance and great sub btw. Wishing all and every responder the best regardless ❤️❤️❤️
Waiting for the Deathly Hallows to come out on Audible reminds me how painful the waits between books were 🤣
3 years between GOF and OOTP, then every two years after that.
Was an insane time.
Really interesting BBC piece about an unqualified women, pretending to be a baby expert, giving dangerous advice.

Be careful where you get information.
If in doubt ask a QUALIFIED doctor and not a self proclaimed expert.
What's the main issue with appointing Robbie Keane???
His record is okay, not terrible or amazing. He's not a complete no brainer, but not an obvious disaster either.
But I noticed some people are dead set against it. I only do limited social media, so apologies if I am missing anything.
EDIT: so a few football reasons that are fair, but mostly just that he worked in a certain country. Albeit no evidence that he supports any regime or anything untoward. Overall, bit disappointed. Thought there was more to this based on the sheer vitriol towards him. Working in a country doesn't mean you agree with their government, and you cannot always choose club fans. I recommend a few on here take a good look at themselves and question if they have ever worked for a company, or spent money at a place, with questionable morals.
