-not allowed to craft any upgrades, use skill points, or buy weapons, you can only use weapons that you pick up off the ground

This is my third “challenge run” of FC4, the first two were:
no guns/bow and knife only, and shotguns only.
No guns was relatively easy since you can use explosive arrows to take out vehicles. Shotguns only was a bit harder since your only way to take out helicopters is by repeatedly hammering them with shotgun fire or by carefully times grenade throws.

The no upgrade challenge was actually significantly harder than the last two, since you are stuck with only two health bars and ONE weapon slot, as well as a pretty small ammo reserve for any weapon that you use. I used the AK47 for most of the game since you can pick up assault rifle ammo from most dead enemies, and for its versatility. i also used the PKM a lot towards the end of the game for its high capacity, damage, and rate of fire.

The Jalendu temple mission was probably the hardest part due to the huge amount enemies in boats and helicopters. Killing Yuma was also a pain since my amount of health was so low and you get peppered by arrows from all directions in that mission.

My current SKS collection, a 1964 Norinco “paratrooper” and a 1970 Zastava M59/66A1, which i believe are the shortest and longest SKS variants respectively. The Yugo has the ability to launch rifle grenades as well as someone’s initials carved onto the stock. Both are amazing rifles

They’re having a military celebration and flea market in my town and somebody was selling this beautiful M59/66 for $525, and of course i couldn’t resist. I’m really excited to shoot it and maybe launch some rifle grenades out of it. Just need to get an original magazine & sling

Pic 1 - a 3 peso banknote, featuring Che Guevara’s portrait, a Cuban special forces patch, and a DVD case for the movie “I am Cuba/Soy Cuba” a 1964 Soviet-Cuban coproduction anthology film about the Cuban Revolution. This movie garnered almost exclusively negative reception in both Cuba and the USSR when it released, and it was lost to time for about 30 years. In the mid 90s it was rediscovered by filmmaker Martin Scorsese, who immediately fell in love with it and set out to restore it and rerelease it in DVD form. Personally i think it is a fantastic movie and i highly recommend it if you are interested in Cuba or the cold war in general.

Pic 2 - Cuban Tropas Especiales uniform, in “amoeba” camouflage pattern. This uniform was adopted sometime in the 90s i believe and is still worn by Cuban special forces today.

Pic 3 - reproduction OSPAAAL poster of Che Guevara superimposed over the silhouette of South America

Pic 4 - real OSPAAAL poster depicting Vladimir Putin as a vampire? On the reverse side it has a short biography of Putin, and a note about how Cuba and China abstained from condemning his invasion of Ukraine. This poster came for free alongside the Guevara one, and honestly i’m not sure what message it’s trying to convey. It looks cool though.
