AMC won’t squeeze when we expect it to

They know more people are buying the stock because of how well the company is performing this year. With the strong box office numbers, improving financials, and all the positive news surrounding AMC, I’m honestly not shocked at all by the action we’ve seen this week. The more predictable the squeeze becomes, the less likely it is to happen exactly when everyone expects it.

Record-breaking weekends. Record-breaking quarters. Record-breaking movies. Credit rating upgraded. Paramount signing a deal for 30+ movies in theaters. All of this happening within a couple of weeks.

Yes, I have bought this 3% dip this morning.

If you believed in AMC when bankruptcy was the biggest risk, why panic now that the company is actually improving its fundamentals?

Short-term volatility doesn’t change the long-term story. I’m holding and adding while fear is high.

AMC shattered their weekend revenue record, and they think lowering the price is going to scare us 😂

Records are meant to be broken, Doomsday is still around the corner..

AMC issuer credit rating went from CCC+ to a B- with a stable outlook!

The biggest difference is that CCC+ implies a meaningful risk of default, while B- means the company is still risky but is currently viewed as having the capacity to meet its financial obligations.

S&P cited:

Stronger-than-expected box office performance.

Improving operating results.

Progress reducing debt.

A path toward sustained positive free cash flow if current trends continue.

A red day after amazing news, shocker.

How many times have we seen this in the last 6 years?

Don’t let them fool you, the momentum is still strong.

I am almost a year into my plumbing apprenticeship, and looking for a change. Is anyone hiring nearby?

I have experience in both renovations/new construction and service work.

I tried Lasco, but they have too many apprentices at the moment.

It’d make a lot of sense for AMC to buy IMAX

IMAX turns movies into events. AMC could benefit a lot from this.

Every time in the last 5 years when we have heard good news about this stock, it goes down.

Please take this into consideration before you buy at market open. Not financial advice!

AMC just posted its best Q1 in 7 years. Revenue back over $1B. EBITDA improved by $96M YoY. Attendance up 13.6%. And the movie lineup for the rest of 2026 looks amazing.

They can keep pushing it down but the fundamentals are looking strong.
