In 1992, a photographer named Scott Gardner was working for The Hamilton Spectator when he got a call about a toad with eyes in its mouth in Burlington, Ontario. He assumed it was a prank but went to check it out anyway, and found a real American toad with eyes growing on the inside of its mouth instead of on top of its head.

Gardner's photo went on to be featured in several publications, most notably in evolutionary biologist Richard Dawkins's 1996 book Climbing Mount Improbable. Scientists still aren't entirely certain what caused it, though the BBC has suggested it may have resulted from a parasitic trematode worm infection, the same kind of parasite linked to other amphibian deformities like extra or missing limbs. Only one other similar case, in Minnesota, has ever been documented. Snopes has confirmed the photo is genuine, even though doctored copies of it circulate online too.

Apparently some theaters actually hire people to start the applause after a performance.

I thought this was a joke the first time I heard about it. Basically I just watch the show and when it's time to clap I start clapping and everyone else follows.

It feels ridiculous getting paid to do something I'd normally do for free lol.

im cooked this year yall 😭

electronics engineering student here and we have an integrated course where we basically have to tackle all the calculus topics we had before like integral calculus differential calculus etc and we use calculus in every course subjects 💀

the problem is i literally retained nothing from the past years and its been a while since I studied some of them so now i have to basically relearn everything from the beginning and IM BAD AT CALCULUS ISTG

for the people who are genius in math and calculus, how do yall ace it? toxic, diabolical, unhinged method are also welcome 🙏🏻
