Asking for input for Glamour bard

"Hey everyone, we’re moving up to level 7 soon, and I’m thinking about changing up my character build. I love the flavor of the Glamour Bard, but with our current party composition, I’m feeling pretty useless in combat. Since we only have one frontline melee member (our Barbarian), the movement from Mantle of Inspiration rarely gets used. On top of that, we've hit a lot of random encounters and bosses that are flat-out immune to charm/fear or just keep beating my save DCs, completely shutting down Mantle of Majesty.

Hypnotic Pattern has landed a few times, but overall combat hasn't been very engaging for me. I’m thinking about multiclassing to shift my role. My stats are Str 8, Dex 17, Con 14, Int 8, Wis 10, Cha 18, and I have an item that mimics the Shield spell, so my AC is okay.

Debating Eloquence or Glamour Bard for 2014 campaign

For starters I played a Glamour bard using 2024 build and loved it. Really fun.

I was invited to a high combat campaign and wanted to run with this character again and then started doubting myself because of the few changes so I started looking at the other 2014 subclasses and ran into the Eloquence Bard

To those who have played both 2014 Glamour and Eloquence.

Is the 2014 Glamour nearly as good? It seems pretty close. The flavor is still there so I'll probably go with it.

But tell me if you think the Eloquence is better. As in fun and can still be effective in combat situations.

I'm looking forward to your answers

Question about Glamour bard multiclass

Greetings. I'm playing a 1shot 2024 build, using the point buy method and everyone's level 10.

Now that's out of the way. Recently I played a glamour bard and wanted to again but this time wanted to look at multi classing.

What I like about the Glamour is the mantle of inspiration and other support features but want to be sturdier and add ranged weapons. Yes I thought of Valor bard but I like the mantle of inspiration too much.

Is it even worth multiclassing because I will miss out on the magical secret spells.

Now that I'm writing it out I'll probably stay in a single class but if anyone has an idea how to make the glamour bard tankier I'd love to hear it.

I'm in a pretty fun decent combat and decent RP game playing a lore bard at 5th level. There are 2 paladins and a monk in my group and I have enjoyed the utility part of the game. As the game is playing out I see potential themes of espionage and spy work.

Would it be too late to multiclass into a rogue?

Love to hear any thoughts. Did I miss out on not taking the rogue 1st?
