We’re 37 days from kickoff how’s everyone feeling? What’s your minimum expectation? Whats your ceiling?

Personally, I’m probably at about a 7/10 on the excitement scale. I think Fitz had an idea of what he wanted year 1 to look like and an identity that he was trying to establish given that his primary pick ups focused on OL and running the ball. I think that’ll shine through and that with this schedule bowling is at least possible on paper.

My minimum expectation would be to see the team improve week to week and look like they actually want to be on the field during the final weeks. Especially if a bowl is on the line. All in all I can see 5-7 happening that’s about the line for me.

Ceiling would probably be 7-5. I could see us Holding an L vs every ranked team and dropping some leans or toss ups. Or a mix of opponents being worse and better than expected and just trading wins. IE: Washington ends up being meh but Wisconsin ends up being good.

All in all, most of my chips are in the winter portal. At that point, those are your guys, your team is set. Either prove your point in 2027 or get out.

How’s everyone liking the game?

I played the hell out of 25. Barely played 26 beyond a sim dynasty that I got maybe 3 seasons deep into. Wasn’t sure I’d buy 27, glad I did. This has been a lot of fun so far! I like that the recruiting feels harder if you’re at a small school and that the management side is more in depth without being overwhelming. Also love the customization of the experience.

That said I was definitely rusty. Was throwing picks left, right, and center at first haha.

10 Reasons To Be Optimistic With Michigan State Football

- Will also highlight trench recruiting in general is something that feels up.

- I also feel like we’re better coaching away from a bowl. 2023 we had a couple of winnables and blew them. 2024 same deal. 2025 definitely. I think it’d be harder to go backwards.

- As LOS said, the schedule is doable. Cross ND, UM, and Oregon off. You basically have leans and toss ups. I personally am at 5-7 until I see reason to think otherwise. But if we can steal a Washington or Illinois or even one of the cross offs. Then it’s a totally different season.

Breaking: Rema Vassar suing everybody who signs the petition for $25m

East Lansing, MI: In response to a move that she describes as “racist” and “grounded in white supremacy”. Vassar declared that she will be suing anybody who signs the petition and hold them accountable to their actions. When further questioned if she realized how ironic it was that she wanted to hold people accountable for holding her accountable, she called the reporter “racist” and “grounded in white supremacy”. When the reporter further asked if she had a single original or even borderline intelligent thought or just thought she lived in 2015 Tumblr, Vassar responded by suing the reporter for $25m. Sparking broad speculation on if 25,000,000 is the only number she actually knows.

Truly depressing times folks.

Edit: I’m being sued for $25m. Whoops.

BREAKING: Rema Vassar suing Tom Izzo for $25m and full time custody of Steven

East Lansing: Upon hearing of Izzo’s criticism of the board, Rema Vassar did the unthinkable. She sued Tom Izzo. When questioned as to why. She said that it was unprofessional and grounded in white supremacy to call attention to her mistakes.

Kentucky wasn’t the only job that J Batt applied to

It’s sounding like he applied to Virginia Tech, Purdue, and Wisconsin. Dude was jonesing to leave. So to be clear, we fired our previous do nothing front office. Then actively sabotaged and harassed the people that we hired less than two years ago until they fled town. All while they were succeeding in the tasks that we specifically brought them in for.

Most Spartans saw Mike Hart’s little brother comment as a high insult and rallying cry. The BOT saw it as actual words to try to live by and a mentality to embrace.

I guess the moment just got too big for poor little ole MSU.

Hot Take: I’m so sick of people overlooking Vassar’s great accomplishments

Here’s some fast facts haters.

- She’s the first MSU BOT member to have unanimous support among Michigan fans.

- She’s helped rebuild the CFB alliance by sending our own president packing to Clemson.

- She’s given to the poorer states like Kentucky by driving our AD there.

- She’s worked tirelessly on major professional projects like turning MSU into the ultimate stepping stone job. Providing talent at a discounted rate. All while streamlining the process so nobody gets too sentimental or attached.

- As any true leader should, she took criticism on the chin and in stride. And then fairly sued the university that she represents for racism while nobly demanding $25m for the affront to her. She could have demanded $401m. Instead it’s just $25m. That’s real leadership folks!

Maybe her next big success will be getting Izzo to Kent State for $25k a year and a copy of Superbad. Or maybe she’ll finally solve the MSU-UofM rivalry issue by just convincing the rest of the board to fold and vote to become a satellite campus of UofM. The possibilities are endless.

Be sure to vote for her on Tuesday, November 7th, 2028!

DII DL Aiden Bohel transfers to Michigan State

6’6 and has two years of eligibility left. Given the lack of DL recruiting under Tuck that’s contributed to our problems the last few years, I’d say a functional big boy at this position is a mighty fine pick up for depth purposes.

Who is an active HC hire from the last two cycles that you think actually end up thriving?

Yesterday I asked which hot seat coach is most likely to survive. Today I wanted to keep in line with a similar theme but rather than hot seat ask which still relatively new HCs will end up being seeing a lot of success. Be that a natty, playoffs, or moving up to a better job.

Of any hot seat coaches this year, who is most likely to save their job?

Every year it feels like we enter the season with coaches on the hot seat. Which coaches do you feel like will actually turn things around?

Conversely, are there any coaches that are considered safe enough for now that you think will be fired by the end of the year?
