We said goodbye to Hershey (15) last week

We made the tough decision to let Hershey go last week. He had turned 15 earlier in July. He was on three different pain meds (Galliprant, gabapentin, and Amantadine) and he was still struggling. His poor body had just worn out. We miss him so much. We're retired and had built our schedule around him; now we're flailing a bit. We should probably have let him go sooner.

Thank you to everyone on this sub who has provided advice.

Goodbye, Hershey (15)

We lost our sweet boy, Hershey, last week. He had just turned 15 last month. His poor body finally wore out. He was the best foster fail ever: the classic goofy, happy chocolate boy. The house feels so empty without him.

Run and play without hurting now, sweetie boy. We miss you so much. Please give your dogs a hug for me.💔

Hershey is 15 today!

He had a trip to the groomer and will be getting birthday goodies tonight. He’s slowing down, but he’s still hanging in there. We take him out in his stroller every night.

Louie is 25 today!

Happy birthday to our grumpy boy. He’s still hanging in there, but not especially active anymore. Our vet is happy with his condition; he’s on Metacam for arthritis. Keeping his nares clear has been an issue. We’ve tried, but he refuses to eat anything but his safflower seed mix. The vet said if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. We’re starting to wonder if he’s going to outlive us.

Her first bag

We bought our grand-puppy Izzy her very first “luxury bag.”

Her Majesty the Tub Queen

Kali in the bathtub this morning. I guess she liked the coolness?

Offered to me today

This LV x TM Cherry NF was offered to me today at the Tampa boutique. I turned it down (too young for me), so hightail it to Tampa if you’re interested. I have no idea how they still had it in stock.
