Finished ten miles race today, 24 weeks pregnant 💪
Training for this was very hard, because since I'm pregnant my intestines go in overdrive (💩) every time I go for a run. Also back pain and a busy work schedule made it very hard. Didn't run in the first trimester because I had no energy but picked it up again in second trimester. I'm very proud with my result, I had a lot of fun, loved the atmosphere, and finished in exactly 2 hours! Not bad! 😁
Tight sports bra
Probably most of you know this already, but just in case you don't:
My sports bra became too tight to comfortably work out, so instead of buying a new bra, I bought bra extenders. So far it does the trick!
Motorbike tent garage as R&M Load 75 storage? (Need storage advice)
Hi all,
I’m looking for advice on a storage solution for our cargo bike.
We want to protect the bike from sun, rain, and temperature extremes (here ranging from about -15°C to +40°C, typically -5°C to +25°C).
The bike would be stored in the front garden/driveway, which is approx. 370 cm long and 200 cm wide. This space also serves as access to the front door, so we need to keep a clear passage along one side. In the worst case, we could remove a hedge to gain an extra ~50 cm of width.
Storage requirements:
- As small and discreet as possible
- Easily removable (we’re not allowed to install a permanent shed or structure in the front garden - although some do try it, with the risk that they have to take it down sooner or later)
- Simple access: no tight manoeuvring, no complicated turning - just straight in, lock, and close
- Preferably low cost, but durable enough to last ~2 years
I was initially thinking of a tarp or similar cover, but I then came across motorcycle “tent garages” that seem practical for this purpose?
Garage dimensions I found: 342 (D) x 137 (W) x 193 (H) cm
Our R&M cargo bike is approx. 265 x 64 x 122 cm, so in principle it should fit. However, I’ve also seen smaller motorcycle tents that might fit our driveway better, but might be too 'tight' for our cargo bike, especially given that parking often requires a bit of backward movement onto the double kickstand (the smaller motorcycle garage is ~279 x 109 x 160 cm).
Question:
Has anyone here actually used something like a motorcycle tent or portable garage for a cargo bike?
Does it work in practice, or is it more annoying than useful day-to-day? Despite it being a bit ugly, are there any other downsides that we're missing?
Genuine experiences appreciated. Also open to better alternatives that still meet the constraints above! Thanks!!

Anyone else in 1st trimester that can't stop buying stuff?
I'm 9 weeks pregnant with my first baby after a long fertility journey, and I can't stop thinking about pregnancy and baby-related things.
I'm finding it really hard to focus on work because I keep browsing baby items and researching things that I probably won't need for months. I've already bought three pregnancy bras, a pregnancy pillow, and I'm looking at strollers. I browse second-hand baby clothes, bought a nursing shirt, and I'm already checking out maternity dresses and pants.
Part of me feels a little embarrassed about it because I know some of these things might not even fit or be useful by the time I actually need them. At the same time, my body is already changing - I only have two pairs of pants that fit comfortably right now, and only one of my old bras still fits.
However, it feels a bit excessive to have bought three bras at once, especially considering I've probably managed the last five years with about five bras total. So I'm a bit ashamed, but I find it very hard to stop myself.
Has anyone else experienced this? Is this a normal first-pregnancy thing, or did anyone else find themselves getting a bit carried away with planning and buying things so early?
Has anyone received a completely wrong Bullitt configuration from the factory?
Hi all,
We're curious whether anyone else has experienced this with Bullitt.
We recently bought a brand-new eBullitt through a local bike shop. The bike arrived about a month later than expected, and when we finally received it, it turned out to be missing a long list of options that were on our order.
Among the missing/wrong items are:
- Canopy
- GRPS setup
- Cane Creek Thudbuster suspension seatpost
- Cruiser handlebar
- 50 mm short stem
- Rear rack
- Battery cover
- Bolt-on rear light
- Abus One Key setup
Basically, it looks like we received a fairly standard Bullitt rather than the configuration we paid for.
The bike shop claims they ordered the correct specification and that Bullitt/Larry vs Harry delivered the wrong bike from the factory. They're now trying to sort it out and order the missing parts.
If that's really what happened, we're honestly not very impressed. We expected a premium experience when spending over €7,500 on a cargo bike.
On top of that, we're not entirely convinced by the ride quality so far. The bike seems noisier than expected while riding and doesn't feel as smooth or efficient as we anticipated. The drivetrain also makes a fairly loud noise when shifting between gears in assist modes A1/A2 (assuming this is normal Auto Shift behaviour, but we're not sure).
Has anyone else experienced:
- Receiving the wrong factory configuration?
- Missing options/accessories on delivery?
- Excessive drivetrain or shifting noise on an eBullitt EP600?
At the moment we're especially frustrated because more than two months later, we still can't use the bike for its intended purpose (transporting our dog) while waiting for the missing canopy and other parts.
To make matters worse, literally one day after we ordered ours, a very well-equipped second-hand eBullitt appeared for sale locally. Right now we're seriously regretting not buying that one instead. Or maybe even the Riese & Muller load...
Would love to hear whether this is a rare mistake or whether others have had similar experiences with Bullitt.
