[Hiring] Video editor for short-form field/educational content — Must use DaVinci Resolve — USA-based preferred

I run a small environmental consulting company (wetland delineation, permitting, ecological work) based in Minnesota. I'm building out a YouTube channel focused on short, authentic field videos (10-15 min) — think boots-on-the-ground content explaining what we do, gear/tech breakdowns, and educational explainers for clients. We would like to get these to YouTube in a professional setting, while also linking to our website.

What I need:

Must edit in DaVinci Resolve (project files will be delivered/returned in Resolve — no other editors, please)

USA-based preferred (easier scheduling/communication, same time zones)

I'll send you A-roll (talking-head/narration footage shot on a Galaxy S26 Ultra + DJI Mic Mini) and B-roll (GoPro Hero 13 field footage)

Clean cuts, light color correction, simple lower-thirds/captions, background music if needed

A polished, eye-catching YouTube thumbnail for each video — clean text overlay, good contrast, on-brand look.

Turnaround of a finished video every couple weeks — this isn't a huge volume gig, more of an ongoing part-time arrangement

Nice to have (not required):

Experience with outdoorsy/field/nature or B2B educational content

Comfortable with a documentary/authentic style rather than heavy motion graphics

Thumbnail design chops (Photoshop, Canva, or similar) alongside video editing

If interested, drop a comment or DM with your reel/portfolio (please include thumbnail examples too) and rate — per video or hourly, whatever you prefer. Happy to send a sample clip to test fit before committing to anything ongoing.
