TENNESSEE PAY?

Quick question, I’m starting school for surgical tech

It’ll be a 360 career change for me and I wanted to ask
If you’re in TN
I’ve seen and all the big hospitals here are hiring

But they don’t show how much they pay

Anyone here in the TN state that can give me some input

And info on what to do after school, certifications?
Do surgical techs can do overtime or pick up extra shifts like nurses

Stuff like that!
Sorry for the questions I’m new and I’m extremely excited for this change

Thank you!

RAD TECH, NURSING OR SURG TECH

Hi all just like the subject

I’m a 31yr old male who wants to desperately go back to school and learn something new

I’ve been doing my research and I’ve come down to decide between RAD or Nursing

It’ll be a complete career change for me( currently work for an airline )

I want to be able to give back, have some sense of humanity, use my brain more and not dealing with cargo all day 😂

Any advice
How’s the money? On rad tech? The career outcomes, paths
I do want to stay active as well
Work overtime etc

Any info or advice it’ll be a blessing for me to read

And btw I haven’t study anything for the last ten years
I’m not good at math but any other subject or class I’m good at

Thank you in advance!

Thinking about joining

Hi all airline guy here (ramp)

I’m thinking about applying again and well I have a lot of questions I’m sorry but unfortunately ( I feel dumb) I didn’t pass the 2d 3d part of the test last year and gave up and here I am watching videos and studying again

I’m a 31 year old male that even tho I can say I make good money and have good freedom with the airline I work at I really don’t want to be throwing bags all my life I want to be able to use my brain a little bit more

With that being said
If anyone can answer or give me some advice and input I greatly appreciate it!

Is It worth it just because of the government?
The shutdowns?

Is TSA becoming private? (Actually my biggest concern

How is the freedom?

Benefits? ( medical benefits in my airline are 🗑️ )

OVERTIME?

Career growth?

Anything you want to tell me!

Thank you so much in advance

SYSCO INTERVIEW

Hi all just like the subject I was called for an interview I wanted to hear some opinions.

I currently work for an airline but unfortunately they’re cutting hours left and right and Sysco called me for an interview for a SPECIAL DELIVERY TRUCK DRIVER which is non CDL but I’ve heard after 6 months they will help me to get the CDL which I’m really interested on doing

My airline job is pretty physical since I work on the ramp so you know lots of bags cargo etc I do want to stay active

My question is and sorry if I sound lazy
How are the benefits?
The freedom in terms of getting days approved
Holidays?
Medical benefits?
Retirement if there’s any

They told me it was Monday- Friday with some Saturdays which I don’t mind

Idk any info you guys want to give me i greatly appreciate it!

It’ll be a big change for me and my family so I want to be sure

Thank you so much in advance

Question to the Sysco drivers, here where I live they have a position called

It says that no CDL is needed, but I’m actually interested in going to CDL school

I have a question if any drivers here know about that position and what vehicle they drive since is not CDL B OR A

Any info i greatly appreciate it! I’m trying to do a careee change!

AI & TRUCK JOBS

So quick question to the guys that are and have been in the industry

I just saw today PEPSI signed a deal with this AI COMPANY for driverless trucks for delivery which a lot of states are using them

I am in CDL school and beverage or food service are my go to after I’m done with school but after reading this unfortunate reality we live in

What are your opinion on what is going to happen in the near future with truck jobs

I’m sorry if the question is a dumb one I’m just new and you know I really want to make a career out of this

FOOD SERVICE OR PEPSI?

So every food service in the state I live they have job openings and Pepsi as well

Pepsi starting out is 32$ hr

I was wondering, I know both are physical jobs and I don’t mind

But I want to hear opinions.

I don’t want to sound dumb but I’m new about to finish my CDL school

I want to make atleast 75-80k a year

I met a guy today that works with Sysco and I was surprised how happy he was and how much he makes

Which got me thinking if I should do food service instead of Pepsi

I’m a 30 yr old male

Has anyone here been approved the WIOA grant? specially in the state of TN

I'm on my way to apply for it and I'm nervous cause I do work but not gonna lie I do not have the money to pay almost 8k for a good school,im a minority so I've heard that helps to get it approved.

Just want to know cause trust me it'll be a blessing for me and my family to get that grant
