I’m debating on buying a kindle paperwhite. I am currently reading on my iPad using KU and getting my books through Libby.

I’ve heard good things about paperwhites, but not sure I can justify the price, I’ll need to think about it for a while before I purchase.

On my iPad 7th Gen, I get about 2-3 hours before needing to charge it because of reading. Which is really annoying when you’re just getting to a reallly good part of the book.

The battery lasting up to 12 WEEKS is honestly really appealing!

And the fact that the iPad is huge. While Kindle is portable (so I’ve heard!) And I’m constantly distracted on my phone.

Just a question - Would anyone recommend buying used from Amazon? I know it lowers the price a little bit (not by a lot though) and is it the same as a new PW? I’d like to hear thoughts on it!

I’m absolutely DEVASTATED. I know he was probably doing it to get free from Micah but DANG. This hurt 😭

All those intimate moments between Bryce and Hunt… just gone and contaminated by his plotting. They were so, so cute. And Lehabah is gonna be SO SAD when she finds out 😭

First time reader here! And maybe that was an exaggeration, but I just love the banter between Hunt and Bryce! There’s a nice balance between the broodyniss from Hunt, and sarcasm from Bryce.

I’m on Chapter 21, (literally just started it) and I love to see them interact and get used to each others presence (to Rhun’s dislike 🤭)

Bryce is so funny and iconic, I love her. I put the book down for a few days after reading chapter 5 because I just loved Danika and the pack ☹️ It’s a testament to SJM’s writing capabilities and style- how she makes you fall in love with the most surface level characters and then she rips it away without a second thought 😭 Her writing CC makes me connect with Bryce faster than ACOTAR did… maybe it’s because of the modern technology being used, but it’s such a good book so far!

As I’m 64 pages into Silver flames here are my hopefully hot takes (I doubt that they truly are lol) I’d like to hear others’!

1. The IC are not, and were never responsible for ‘fixing’ Nesta. They only pretend to care about her because she’s Feyre’s sister. If she was a lesser fae, they would not bat an eye!

2. Neither Cassian OR Lucien are entitled to Nesta or Elain just because a mating bond exists and “says that they are their mate.” It just rubs me the wrong way how they believe they are entitled to a woman just because some innate bond between them says so. I hope for a mating bond reject!

3. Lucien’s character got reduced to some love sick puppy once he saw Elain fresh out of the cauldron in MaF. I’d love to know more about his ‘adventures’ in the human lands and more of his life in Autumn Court before he was rejected and was saved by Tamlin. I’d like to know more about him in general! (I AM a sucker for characters with red hair and a realllll good tan 😉😉)

4. Maybe this is me nitpicking but it’s Rhys always calling Feyre his “mate.” I know it’s normal thing for fae to call each other, but not even Kallias and Viviane call each other “mates” that much 😭 (They’re my absolute favorite 🫶🏻)

I feel like it’s such a weird thing to call your wife, to make her known to everybody that she’s yours and only yours. And he refers to her like that every time!

Him calling her a “mate” only demoralizes her and reinforces some arguments that Rhys doesn’t see her as equals, but rather a prop that he can use and sit on a throne with her. He will never, ever, let her sit on a throne without him being there. He doesn’t even trust her enough to use her title of High Lady however she wants it, only when it benefits HIM and his schemes and plots (Free Feyre frfr) It’s the little things Rhys does that make me go 🙄🙄.

I swear I tried reading the first book and oh my god. It’s boring. I don’t want to suffer through 8 books of this. I tried the audio book and ebook on my phone, couldn’t get past chapter 4. 😭

What would I miss in regards to any connections to Prythian? Can I jump into Crescent City after I finish ACOSF??

I finished book three a few hours ago. And let me just say, wow! The high lords meeting scene is just so hilarious 😂. Tamlin came in with some zingers there lol. I loved that entire scene.

Amren “betraying” Feyre just so she could die in the cauldron is definitely something. And honestly, she shouldn’t have came back when Rhys died 🫣 I say that because Sarah is too comfortable with writing these characters and there’s not enough stakes anymore (The whole reason I stopped reading ACOWAR was bc she turned her sisters into fae, which turned me off the book for a bit). She treats these characters like her children (and they are!!) If Amren stayed dead, I feel like it would’ve made sense bc it’s book three and barely any main characters have died? I think that’s my main issue- There’s really no “stakes” in a series if all the main characters didn’t die imo. (I’ll still read them though, I still love the universe and Feysand 😉)

Onto the positives… the last chunk of the book was a real page turner. I loved reading how Nesta becomes much more comfortable as a Fae and with Cassian, and I loved seeing her be a better sister to Feyre. I loved how she and Elain took out the king- absolute badasses. Can’t wait to read more.

On a shorter note…. I need this series to be animated eventually 😭 it’s just too good.

It’s finally happening 😭 I’ve reached the part where hybern attacks the summer court and word was spread to the IC. And OH MY GOD. I wasn’t expecting summer to be the one to be attacked first, mainly bc I cannot imagine anyone from that court fighting 😭 it seemed so peaceful from what was revealed in MAF.

Maybe that’s a dramatic reaction, bc I felt it could’ve been another court I haven’t seen yet. But 🤷🏻‍♀️ I’m

I wonder though, will the war void the blood rubies that Tarquin sent to Feyre and Amren? I imagine it will. But who knows. Will be reading more tonight.
