My wife and I are visiting for a show at the Aladdin tomorrow night. It’s been so long since I lived in Portland that I no longer know the food scene. What is good within walking distance of the venue?
Inherited this firearm, probably about 75 years old based on my research on the 185d. In rummaging around my dad’s stuff, I could only find the exterior screw-on F choke, and I’m not sure I want to spend the money to buy the IC and M chokes that likely came with the original (those two chokes alone on eBay are probably more than the guns actually worth).
The shotgun is actually in good condition and I am surprised by how smooth and simple the action is and the overall balance. I’m eager to shoot it. Looks like fun to mess around with.
Question: with only the F choke, what loads can I actually shoot out of this old oddity?
If you are or know the elderly man whose dog was attacked by a loose dog tonight on NW Garryanna, please dm me.
If you left your phone in the john at Helmick State Park, I gave it to the park host.
PSA: it seems that you didn’t PIN-lock your phone. I could have - but didn’t - go into your apps, but the park host made some awkward jokes about doing so.
I’m a guy looking to class up my footwear. I’m a lawyer in a large construction and mining company, and the execs wear nice cowboy boots to events. I have nice shoes, but they are very much lawyer shoes.
Much as I wish I could, I can’t pull off wearing cowboy boots or even ropers - it’s just not me. I’d feel silly showing up in a pair of square toe Tecovas.
The nearest I can find is a Chelsea style, but everything I can find shopping online has that elastic part coming way down and would be visible under the hem of my jeans.
I’m at my wits end shopping. Anyone got recommendations (under $500) on some nice masculine Western-ish but still low heel pull on “dress” boots that won’t make me look like I’m cosplaying either Texas or 1960s London?
