hi guys, I'm hoping this post will find the right people. I've been on a huge healing journey from a traumatic childhood and fell into a lot of w33d/alcohol the second i turned 18 (im from Canada lol) just recently got sober again after being on and off for years. ive been feeling manic and experiencing a lot of real emotions, but today i weirdly felt really good!

this is what got me sober and forced me into a holy guacamole moment where i wanted real change again. "dont commit su1cide before you're 5 years sober, because you'd be taking the life of the wrong person."

i pray this hits home to those who need it, because i definitely did.

Childhood Classmate

Hey, I just recently moved back into my hometown after about 10years of being across the country. (Im 21yrs old) And recently I've been having an elementary school classmate glued to my mind for probably a year. I dont know if I'm asking for prayer that shes okay or just for some mindful positive insite but she was bullied quite harshly as a child. She was an adopted outcast that was new to town and everytime people were mean or said hurtful words to her she would always play it off with the biggest smile and kindest heart. I remember her thanking me for being her friend one time because I stood up for her and she didnt have any friends, I also remember not standing up for her many times aswell which is why my heart is hurting so much for her childhood self. I recently saw a YouTube video of our class singing O Canada and she was full of so much confidence and positively for such a hard environment. I believe she only stayed for a few years or less because she was having such a hard time (It wasn't her fault at all!) I barely remember her name and have had no contact with her since we were probably 7-8 years old, I dont know if the lords been calling me to try harder to find her or if all I'm meant to do is to be still and simply pray for her wellbeing. I'm trying to picture her grown up in a joyful healed environment but I cant help but to think of her being in the opposite, are there any bible verses or thoughts that come to your mind? thank you all for reading

I have been seeing many comments and posts lately revolving around confusion with God and how somebody of so much love can allow bad to happen in the world. So i wanted to share todays daily bread! Hoping it will reach the hearts of those who need it 😊

Wed, April 29th [God has wronged me and drawn his net around me. JOB 19:6] PRAYER IN DISGUISE

after the horrors of Auschwitz, Elie Wiesel lost his faith. "Where were you, God of kindness?" he asked, recalling the evil he and others suffered. "In my childhood I did not expect much from human beings. But I expected everything from you." And yet, Wiesel realized later that his faith had never really left him. "It is because I believed in God that I was angry at God," he told a journalist, "and still am." You don't get angry at someone you don't believe exists. We might feel uncomfortable expressing anger at God, but bible characters did. "You deceived me, LORD," the prophet Jeremiah cried (20:7). "Will you forget me forever?" David wrote (PSALM 13:1). "God has wronged me," Job said (19:6). Unaware of Satan's role in his misfortune, Job accused God of being cruel (10:3) and even subpoenaed Him to court (31:35)! While Job later discovered that his understanding was limited (42:3), it's important to note God never rebukes his feelings. (God giving us the gift of free-will) Despite his questions, Elie Wiesel prayed, "Let us make up. It is unbearable to be divorced from you so long." We too might be angry at God for not limiting the suffering in our world, but our expressing it to Him can become prayer in disguise-keeping us close to the God who wants us to bring not just our praise but our anger to Him too.

-When have you felt angry at God? How can Job's story help us express and keep perspective on it?

"Dear God, I'm angry at the suffering in this world, but choose to trust You."
