Hi all, I need some advice. I reported my manager for using his position to favour certain employees (yes, I am able to prove it with data and stats) and he actually got his “work girlfriend” promoted too. She was training for the new position before it was even available. The company is small (70-100 employees), and does not have an HR department so I reported it to the OPs manager. The OPs manager, seems to have conspired against me and fired me for late coming, not even one written warning . They consider it late if you did not log in 5 minutes prior to your shift and used that to claim I have been excessively late. I am taking them to CCMA for unfair dismissal and I am confident I will win, but I was wondering how I can litigate them for not taking action against the person who is giving favours and promotions for sexual/romantic favours (and retaliation against a whistleblower)? Is it even worth my time? Can I get a reward for pursuing it?

I can’t seem to keep my mind off the secret between Beldaruit, Vinnana, and Easties. I searched “secret” on here and found a theory about a god that might smite the witches/humans of the pact is broken too many times lol

What other theories do we have regarding this secret and what it could be? I was thinking about how things unfolded after the silver night and I think the secret is pointing towards the king and his ambition to get magic.

I think the king has knowledge about people not being born witches, but lacks knowledge of magic itself. Which is why he and the prince are pursuing it so much. The main reason I think this is the case is because Easties asked Utowin if the former Wise of friendship went Adanlee then immediately says “we have to find out who the mastermind behind this is”. So we know Easties is in on the secret is basically letting Utowin know there’s more to it.

Then we go back to immediately after resolving the curtain leech issue. Beldaruit knew exactly what the king was going to do and actively tried to avoid it. It’s almost like Beldaruit knows the king wants a situation that will have the witches revered as gods only to reveal they are keeping the secret of magic. It will seem like the reason the witches are keeping the secret of magic is because they want to worshiped (for lack of a better word).

Looking at Vinnana and Luluci’s conversation. The king asked for the peep glasses and stated valid reasons for why he wants them. Bear in mind the glasses do not use forbidden magic, but the magic can be abused. Vinnana refused to approve it not because it is against the pact, but because she realised the request was more about leverage.

So I think the king is already experimenting with magical items and using them in forbidden ways and is already eroding the pact. The witches are just waiting for him to make the move for an all out war. So, Beldaruit is probably not making it out of Ezrest.
