Physical disc production ending in January 2028 for new games releasing on PlayStation consoles
Well, that's lovely. I guess the physical media era is officially coming to an end. Guessing this means the PS6 will be digital only.

Nothing fancy, just out painting fences today and thought I'd share the lovely weather.
Just had this announcement pop up - mods have explicitly stated they have no intention to ban AI imagery, for the primary reason it is implausible to police.
Someone put up an AI gen image in a gaming community, antis started their "AI slop" rallying cry. When I called them out and informed them that their beloved company actively uses and supports GenAI, they proceeded to bury my post and claim it didn't apply since it wasn't used in that specific game.
Guess the dopamine hit they get outweighs their principles.
Edit: no screenshot as it would be a dead giveaway what community it is, so might tempt brigaders.
Yeah, I know it's probably the most pointless card in existence, but it is multi-functional, when you think about it. >_> (Also yes, I know I didn't capitalise "The Game" in the 2nd paragraph of the card text or the footer. It was a quick-and-dirty.)
Here's an image that I generated recently specifically drawing from a book I've been working on for a VERY long time, the antagonist is in the process of casting a highly destructive spell to force the patron deity of the city into revealing himself (and thus making himself vulnerable to attack).
I've got an old Samsung Smart TV that the backlight failed about 6 months ago now. When I was out and about, I found another one on the roadside, identical model, which has classic vertical tearing issues that usually indicate a bad T-con board or main board. How hard would it be to use one TV as a donor TV for parts for the other to get one into working condition (I'm thinking replacing the main board or T-con would be easier that replacing the backlight)?
In past years on May 4th (Star Wars Day), some of the cinemas had a habit of running some/all of the Star Wars movies - haven't been able to find any places screening them in Auckland this year though 😞
I remember back in 2024 Event Cinemas did a marathon of all 6 movies back-to-back over May 4th and 5th.
