they say it’s because of dental issues so he can have alfalfa pellets at least but man that’s so tough bc Floridas grass turnout is dwindling and winter obviously is winter
there has to be something they aren’t saying because I’ve personally worked with the spca with much worse looking horses and not had them taken. I was thinking maybe the water not being adequate but that seems a stretch bc a pond is sufficient.
This charity in Pasco county Florida serves a very poor community. lately, they have been trying to take in a group of cats from a location where the friendly ones they were feeding are getting harmed by a local man. they arw working on getting police Involved but need more evidence etc.
they’re close to shutting down bc of the high operating costs and Florida not offering much support to non shelters. I’ve never seen them refuse a cat in need.
this area has a ton of 55+ communities and unfortunately that and the rising costs has had a very negative impact on the community cats. we have so many :(
talk about a lady who is making Sarasota look good and bad. see, she goes weekly to the food bank in an expensive car and gets these huge hauls to post on Facebook in her nice house and far nicer car than a majority of Americans. This food bank doesn’t income verify. she intentionally goes there bc of this.
imo this lady is doing so much bad for food banks. once people follow, they stop donating. that’s not me talking out my bum, it’s a very common comment made on her videos.
has anyone else seen this? I’m liberal af but even I’m like, girl you have nicer stuff than 80% of the populace. her content is a year long now too.

hello! I’m visiting in August to eventually buy acreage. my current rent is higher than my escrow would be by a long shot. I’m from rural ky so I’m not completely new to the reality of rural life. I am looking to stay near a hospital within 45 ish minutes and same for a Walmart. looking for 20 acres ish under 500k. anyway, I was looking to stay around Sullivan so we can visit the fine cities of Festus, union, troy and Columbia Outskirts. Any thoughts on a good area to set up camp a few days and find a decent hotel?
my wife is a horse gal who wants to get back into reining so we are looking at internet availability, hospitals other horse farms as our tiered prios.
