A pair of aged MQ-24 watches

Took it upon myself to go on a full "arts and crafts" mode on these watches and gave the dial and hands an aged look. The black one is supposed to look like a dial that suffered water damage, and the white (now cream) watch is tropicalized with humidity spots. In person, the hands are also a little bit corroded / dirty to match the dial. Might take it upon myself to try this on a mid-size Duro or some other analog Casio.

Any of you have recommendations on what watch to try this on? Might just give it a go.

[SPB455] Back on the wrist!

Been refraining from using this watch too much, as I want to make sure it’s in its best condition for my wedding later this year. But I couldn’t resist! What a beautiful watch. This is one of the few watches in the collection that I can say is a real keeper for life. Happy weekend ya’ll!

Custom aged Casio MQ24

Trying my hand at faux aging watches, and am going for a water damaged look to the dial and hands, with some slight fading. This is only the second ever attempt I’ve had at this – the third attempt will be on a white dial MQ24. Proof of concept project.

The watch is totally brand new, but looks aged. Unboxed it just yesterday. What do you all think? I know these type of mods are generally quite divisive but I’m digging it.

Aged dial and hands version 1

The dial started to fade a bit more compared to the last time I posted the watch. Now im getting some spotting, but I think I need a bit more fading and some texture on the dial / hands.

Gonna give it another round of aging soon, and might consider aging the case as well. What do you guys think?

Aged lume project. First attempt!

So i decided to finally try out lume aging with Potassium Permanganate for the first time on any watch. Thought it would work well with the moonswatch. Maybe a bit sloppy and heavier than id like, but I think it looks great. What do you guys think?

What do you guys think? Im digging the steel bezel and have a super hard time getting it off my wrist. Really love how it looks. These watches are so much more than just the dial and movement.
