21F( Just saying hi)

I’m 21, turning 22 soon, and I’m from the Himalayas in India, so I’ve always had a huge love for the mountains. I’m hoping to get into trekking soon and explore more of them. I love thriller shows, crime podcasts, and rom-coms, especially 2000s ones. I’m mainly here to meet new people from around the world, have good conversations, and make some friends. If you love mountains, have similar interests, or just enjoy talking about random things, feel free to say hi :)

Looking for advice on starting a homestay in Uttarakhand

Hi everyone! I’m 21F and I’m thinking of starting a small 4-bedroom homestay somewhere in the hills in Uttarakhand. I’m planning to lease a property initially rather than buy one, just to see how the business works out.

The thing is, no one in my family has ever been in business. Everyone has always had regular jobs, mostly government jobs, so I honestly have very little exposure to how running a business like this works.

I’m still in the very early stages and haven’t decided on a location yet. If anyone has experience with running a homestay, or knows the Uttarakhand tourism/hospitality scene well, I’d really appreciate some advice on good locations, things I should consider, and any mistakes I should avoid as a beginner.

Would be really grateful for any guidance or suggestions. Thank you!
