Booked Baleno Facelift Zeta AMT

I recently had a clutch actuator issue with my Hyundai Grand i10 Nios Automatic, and after considering different options, I’ve now booked the new 2026 Baleno AMT and paid the advance.
My requirements were pretty straightforward: strictly under ₹11 lakh on-road, automatic transmission so that everyone in my family can drive it comfortably, and most importantly, good fuel economy and reasonable long-term maintenance costs.

I did explore other brands and cars, but most of the options I liked were going beyond my budget. Since the new Baleno facelift has just launched, I decided to go ahead with it.

Now that I’ve booked the car, I’m looking for advice from existing Baleno/AMT owners about things I should keep in mind from the beginning. In particular, I’d like to know about proper AMT driving habits, maintenance, things that can help avoid unnecessary clutch or actuator wear, and what I should be careful about in heavy traffic or on slopes.

I’d also appreciate advice about accessories. What accessories are actually worth getting with a new car? I’m thinking about things like good floor mats, boot mat, dashcam, mud flaps, tyre inflator, etc. I definitely don’t want to waste money on unnecessary dealer accessories, ceramic coating, anti-rust treatments, chrome packages and similar things unless they’re genuinely useful.

Also, since I haven’t taken delivery yet, what should I specifically check during PDI and delivery? Things like manufacturing date, tyres, battery, paint, electronics, infotainment, cameras, etc.
Basically, I’ve already booked the car, so I’m mainly looking for practical advice from people who have owned an AMT/Baleno for a long time. What would you do differently if you were buying a brand-new AMT today?

Baleno AMT vs Manual – which makes more sense for city driving and fuel economy?

Hi everyone,
I currently own a **2019 Hyundai Grand i10 Nios Petrol AMT**, which has done around **85,000 km**.
Recently, I’m facing **clutch actuator/AMT issues**. I’ve contacted the Hyundai service centre, but there hasn’t been much progress. The car sometimes stops suddenly and the gears don’t shift properly, which has become a concern.
Fuel economy has also dropped significantly recently. Current mileage of i10 nios is **10–12 km/l in the city** and **14–15 km/l on highways**. With the recent E20 fuel situation, I’ve noticed a further drop.
Because of the reliability issues and mileage concerns, I’m now considering replacing the car.
My requirements:
**Mostly city driving**
Occasional highway trips
**Strict budget: below ₹10 lakh on-road**
**Fuel economy is my #1 priority**
Want something reliable for long-term ownership
I recently visited a Maruti Suzuki showroom and checked out the **new Baleno AMT**. I liked the car, but now I’m confused between the **Baleno AMT and Baleno manual**.
Since I’m coming from an AMT, the convenience of an automatic is attractive, especially in city traffic. But after experiencing AMT actuator problems at 85k km, I’m also wondering whether going for a manual would be the smarter long-term choice.
**For my usage, would you recommend Baleno AMT or Baleno manual?**
Also interested in real-world city mileage, highway mileage, long-term reliability, and maintenance costs.
