33M Finance Guy here, recently was evaluating some travel packages in budget of 75K to 1L for 2.
Wife wants to go someplace else at a higher budget (seeing her frnd). I spoke to them about budget and all and realised they went on that vacation on EMI.
It sad to see people even buy almost everything on EMI for pleasure of few days and then stressing over EMIs for next 6-12 months.
Consumer debt is a trap unless u are getting some exclusive discounts and are able to pay it off in one go (Even in such offers, you get similar benefits if you pay in one go)
In my team, there is a guy (joined 3 months back) who will move mountains on deals bought in by him (even push for illogical things). I have high suspicion that one document recently submitted in one such transactions is forged as the PDF which he got from client is digitally signed then printed and then scanned (why would any digitally signed PDF which is only to be emailed would be printed and scanned). Also the content certified in that document is clearly BS (No professional would ever certify this)
On other hand, he is not even bothering to work on 10s of transaction assigned to him or would work in a manner to sabotage those.
The industry is already risky as people do offer money to get things done and we need to have self control not to get lured by such offers.
Working In Finance industry
So there are 2 reportees and facing following issues
Reportee 1 - Work on deal bought by him very aggressively and passionately, even pushes some totally no go transactions very aggressively while having zero effort for deals assigned to him
Reportee 2 - Constant goof ups in data. Works hard but very unorganised and as soon as he's out of close watch, starts lethargic or let it be attitude. He shared a wrong bank account number recently where in lacs were to be credited, luckily the wrong Bank account number didn't exist so money got auto returned, otherwise it would have been a big mess.
Both are smart in thier life, well qualified as well as experienced but frequent job changes.
My productivity with my other 2 team was more before these 2 guys came. Now I am constantly firefighting n cleaning the mess created by then.
Should I go to a stage to tell them to look out.
Note - Cos money involved in every transaction is much higher than entire teams net worth.

Positives in life :
- Married to a beautiful girl, although we both are lazy, we are compatible with each other
- Doing decently financially : from a rented room to a large apartment in South Mumbai
- Work : Almost everyone in the industry I work in knows me, so networking appears to be decenr
- Friends : Few frnds but close one
Regrets
- Not starting own venture : Stuck in trap of high salary that always in 2 minds to go for own firm or not (current salary ensures a good life, trips abroad and all)
- Health : Average, however underweight
- Hobbies : Have lost interest in cars etc

X has executed a power of attorney in favor of Y (granting right "to present lodge and register sale document and to admit execution thereof")
They are saying they will print the document in UAE. Sign and courier it to India and Y will come registration
Is this legally valid.
Lawyer 1 opinion - Can do and many transaction take place in similar manner
Lawyer 2 opinion - Place of execution is Mumbai, while X is not present in India

Health - No issues as such but underweight and got white hairs bit
Hobbies - have interest in cars, but not pursuing enthusiastically it anymore
Travel - Travelled to 6 countries and most of North India except J&K
Family Life - Married, No Kids. Overall stable
Others - S*x life is avg, Frnd circle is small but have dependable frnds
Energy levels - High at work, low in personal things

Got annual bonus, an maruti alto got deducted in Taxes 🥲 despite taking all avenues to save Taxes.
Advice needed
- Old Tax Regime saves me 1.20L pa
- But, i can prepay the Home loan of 25L if I opt for New Tax Regime so effectively, will effectively save approx 40-50k on interest earning vs interest paid on home loan
- won't have to pay rent to family members
