Any Halloween/fall art shows in the area?

Hi, I make prints and jewelry and am going to make some fall themed art and I want to try vending at Halloween themed markets but I can't seem to find any, does anyone know of any I can apply to?

Swim bladder going on 2 weeks

Hi, I've had this guy for 2 weeks and he's been stuck with swim bladder the entire time. I bought him because he has swim bladder. He's active and he's got some color back, but he's stuck floating. He'll sit under things so he doesn't stay at the surface all day. He's had minor improvements, he went from floating on his side to floating at a normal orientation.

I've been doing regular 50% water changes and there's a 80 degree heater. It's a 3 gallon tank. I've been feeding him every 2-3 days to try to make sure he isn't bloated but he's not, his swim bladder is expanded and I can see the bumps on his tail from it so idk if I should feed him regularly again.

I've been giving him stress guard, catappa leaves, Kanaplex, and aquarium salt. I'm not sure what else I could do. Should I do something for fungal infection instead? I know the Kanaplex is antibacterial.

Looking for actually scary movies help- scared only by hereditary

I REALLY struggle to find movies that actually scare me, but here are some that actually did-

- hereditary

- obsession

- lee cronin's the mummy

- the ritual

- Barbarian on the first watch but after a while it just got a bit boring

I think the demonic stuff is what gets me tbh so any advice helps

I've seen the evil dead movies and the conjuring/anabelle movies and they were pretty boring.

Best white and black foundation?

I want sheer white foundation that doesn't smudge for my face and matte black that won't smudge onto my clothes for my neck, but I don't know where to start looking and I'm pretty low budget. Any recommendations? I've been doing makeup but not with foundation like this

Where to vend as an animal rescue?

Hi, I have a betta fish rescue and want to get some tables set up at local events but my usual business is in the art shows. I have no clue where to start for animals. Any ideas?

I want to have a table just to spread awareness of the rescue- giving out business cards, selling betta related crafts, maybe getting donations. I won't have live animals with me because it'd be too stressful for them.

Adoptable rescued Betta!

Hi, this guy is ready to be adopted! I've named him Monet and I took him in because he had fin rot and sinking issues but he's all healed and good to go to a new home now!

If you are interested, DM me! I will be requiring photos of the tank he'd go in, it has to be at least 5 gallons and have a heater and sponge / low flow filter

https://mandmbettas.carrd.co/ this is the rescue website if you want to read more about him!

Lymphocistis or Tumor??

Hi, I just had this fish given to me yesterday by his owner. I can't tell if this is lymphocistis or a tumor. She said she has him on Kanaplex and that if she stops treatment he gets worse. She had him in a 3 gallon with an inch of water and a heater.

I moved him to a 10 gallon with a sponge filter, heater, plants, etc. just now, so parameters are as good as they can get. I also gave him catappa leaves, aquarium salt, paraguard, and stress guard. I did not replenish the Kanaplex when I moved him yet because I want to see exactly what is going on and if the other meds are better, because the owner doesn't seem to know much about what she's doing.

Tumor?

This isn't my fish, someone gave him to me last night to heal and return back to them. All I know is they're giving him antibiotics, the water level was 1 inch deep even though he's swimming fine. He's stuck in a 3 gallon but at least he has a heater I guess.

They said they do a 50% water change daily and they don't have the filter because they're giving him Kanaplex. His parameters are fine because I added more water and put in a catappa leaf.

They said that every time he seems to get better, they'll stop treatment and he'll relapse

Is this a tumor ?? Should I just tell them to give him better conditions and keep medicating him to keep him comfortable? If it was me I'd just give him a regular tank set-up and put in some stress guard and paraguard. I'm guessing a tumor because it's white bumps, but part of it looks like it's actually sunken in and I don't know if they can do that or if it's just an illusion because it's raised everywhere else.

New arrivals to the fish rescue!

My betta fish rescue was able to adopt out 2 of the healed fish last weekend, so now we've filled the empty tanks with new intakes! These two are Picasso and Monet!

Monet (1, 4) was stuck sinking to the bottom of the cup (which immediately got better once he got into warm water) and fin rot, which we're still working on.

Picasso (2, 3) was stuck floating on his side at the surface of the water so I put him in the tank with the lowest flow filter and lots of medicine. By day 2 he was still floating but was able to sit upright, and on day 6 (today) he's swimming normally again!

Not really posting for any particular reason I'm just really happy that the fish are doing better, especially Picasso because I was starting to doubt he'd get better but now he is!

Do you guys actually take care of your sick Bettas???

I was at Petsmart yesterday and told the worker I have a betta rescue and that if they're allowed to, they can call me and I'll take care of the sick fish (I tried to give them my card and website)

She just cut me off mid sentence, said "we actually take care of them in the back" and then sold me two visibly ill males (I didn't buy a tank or anything, just the two incompatible fish by themselves, and she didn't say anything there about care either)

Do you guys actually take care of the sick fish or was she lying to me ? Did she just not give a fuck??

Showing off all the merch I've made!

Just showing off my art! I'm making a collection of prints and stickers, I have to get Meatlug and then Toothless next! Plus some envelopes I made of the Stormcutter and Razorwhip while I was at my table at a market booth.

Everything IS for sale on my website though! I'm mostly just proud of what I made and want to make a big post with all of it.

Any local businesses that would let me display business cards?

The title, I have 2 different things I'm trying to promote: a betta fish rescue and rehab that is looking to adopt out healthy fish and needs more eyes on it, and an adult animated TV show (adult as in they're dealing with issues and survival, not adult as in endless swears/sex jokes) I'm making that is in the early works and I'm just trying to get the name out there.

Anyone know of a business that would let me display one or both somewhere in their store?

Edit- The betta rehab is the priority because it's little lives and the TV show is just a tv show. here is the betta rescue website, it has care guides and updates on the fish I'm currently rehabbing M and M Bettas site

Free betta fish to a good home

Free fish to a good home, I've been rehabbing him and he's all better and ready to go! His name is Francis :)

He'll need a 5+ gallon tank with a heater and filter and no plastic plants (they'll tear his fins up), I want him to have the same or better quality of life than when he's with me. If you're interested in him comment or dm me!

Any writing workshops?

Hi, are there any writing workshops around here? I'm working on writing a TV show and I always am looking for feedback because I always wonder if it's good enough. In person meetings would be best because I'd like to make friends with other writers (I'm 21f) but online spaces are good too!

Help I need a job but no jobs are getting back to me even w/ open availability and experience

Hey so I have a resume, been working 3 jobs (food service) total over the course of 5 years with no firings or write ups, 21 w/ license and open availability and I just want a job that's not food service anymore but everywhere I've applied to has either rejected me or straight up ignored my application. I have an AA degree and am working on an AS for aerospace so I thought I'd qualify enough for at least a cashier position, help??

This is Francis! I'm running a betta fish rehab, and he is healthy and ready to go home in 10 days :) he is free to a good home and I'm requiring proof of a good home before I give him away. He needs a 5+ gallon tank because he is constantly moving, and he needs the standard heater / filter combo w/ nothing sharp / hard plastic plants so his delicate fins don't get torn up. If you're interested PM me or email me at mandmbettas@gmail.com !
