What are your experiences with acupuncture for fertility?

Have heard mixed reviews of acupuncture for fertility and am seeking opinions and experiences. Usually I am a very data/evidence based driven person and am a bit wary of acupuncture but am also trying to keep an open mind. My husband and I have been ttc for a year. I have tried acupuncture once before. At the time I was under so much stress that my periods had stopped completely, and after one acupuncture session I got my first period in four months the following cycle. I have no idea whether that was just a coincidence, but it has always stuck with me. Has anyone found acupuncture helpful for fertility, either naturally or alongside treatment? I’d really appreciate hearing your experiences.

Coming up to the 1 year mark of trying

Hi all. Feeling quite low today as this is the last cycle before the 1 year mark of actively trying (tracking ovulation, making lifestyle changes). I (31F) have a history of endometriosis diagnosed and excised via laparoscopy 4.5 years ago - tubes open and no endometriomas. AMH of 2.2. Normal uterus and transvaginal ultrasounds. Progesterone day 7 test normal, as well as prolactin and thyroid blood tests. My husband (M32) and I live an active lifestyle, rarely drink alcohol. My husband had a SA and count and motility were good but morphology was 3% - dr didn’t seem too concerned and he’s also taking vitamins. I’m taking a prenatal and vitamin D as well as myo inositol as per the last fertility doctor I saw. We have seen 2 fertility doctors and it feels like no one takes us seriously sadly…We want a few kids so we really don’t want to wait too long. I have never been pregnant before. Every cycle is a disappointment after another and it is so triggering to see so many people get pregnant so quickly and easily. I’m trying my best to stay positive but this 12 month mark somehow feels deeply sad as we will “officially” be deemed infertile… does anyone have any advice or experience please? Or suggestions on next steps?

What are your experiences ttc with endometriosis?

Hi there, long time lurker but finally decided to post. 31 ttc for 11 months now, diagnosed with endo via laparoscopy 4 years ago with excision but starting to freak out a bit… I know it’s not that long to be trying and there are several positives on my side: 2.2 AMH, blood tests (progesterone, prolactin, thyroid) all within normal range. Positive ovulation strips every month but still… nothing. Husband’s sperm is also within normal ranges. I am terrified that my endometriosis is making it difficult and am keen to hear about other stories of women who tried or are trying to conceive… and if possible what would typically be next steps?
