Is anyone else bothered by the room to room layouts?

It’s a small thing I know, but on every sci-fi film or programme I’ve seen and every diagram of ships, they have corridors. If you’re not building something at least 2 habs wide, corridors are non existent. Why would I want my engine room (or whatever) opening up directly into the crew quarters? Doesn’t it make more sense to have a corridor - either to one side or central - then rooms/bunks off to the side? Unless I’m missing something.
It makes me think of when you go to look round old manor houses or stately homes and you just walk room to room.
Sorry captain, I know you’re trying to sleep but I’ve just gotta go take a dump and walk right past your bed. I’ve then gotta go make a lot of noise in the room next door, sweet dreams.
Probably just me but I’d love to see more incorporating more corridors

Story is the downfall of re-playability?

So in XCOM 2, the story is loose at best. A guerrilla campaign against an invading force with a few key beats to hit. The fun and re-playability comes from the stories we make for ourselves and troops along the way. As ZCOM has an overarching narrative, do we think this will hurt the “create our own” story element that makes XCOM2 almost infinitely re-playable?

Just a thought it had after one too many glasses of wine…

Looking for captaincy mods

Hi all,

I’m looking for mods that make you feel like a captain. Send crewmates on jobs. Perhaps even have a crewmate pilot the ship whilst you give orders, stuff like that. Wanting to feel like a Star Trek captain sort of vibe.

Anyone know if such things exist?

Cheers

Modlist recommendations please, see below, thanks!

Don’t like to be that guy but basically I’m after a modlist that can hit these requirements, if possible/there’s one out there.

Graphics: Good as possible at 1440p resolution whilst keeping 60fps. Something to push my 5070ti. Good looking but grounded NPCs. Physics everywhere. Anything to make it seem realistic. I don’t mean real life, as I like the stylised versions of say ElderGleam, but that sort of thing.

Gameplay: grounded but modern combat (For Honor kinda thing). Immersive. Survival (almost wanting a life sim like playthrough). NSFW that isn’t shoved in your face (No bikini armors or skimpy merchant clothes). I guess roleplaying too!

Quests: Loads of new ones, more the merrier. Overhauls/expansions to vanilla ones.

I’ve tried LoreRim, NV6, Apostasy, ElderGleam, Journals of Jyggalag and Odyssey. All are great but something about each doesn’t have quite what I’m after. I think LoreRim and NV6 are closest, but whenever I install them, I can never get them looking as good or running as smoothly as seen in YouTube showcases.

Cheers all for any insight, appreciate it’s a long one!

Adding on/off power to a modded weapon?

Hi,

Basically, in my current playthrough I’m using a staff that has an enb light effect at the top. Only downside is that it’s always on. Just wondering how easy it would be to add a lesser power (granted on weapon equip/in inventory) that can turn this effect off and on?

Thanks

A combat animation mod with this?

It’s hard to see I know but I’m after a combat animation mod that has this sort of attack in it. The one Aragorn performs with the spin. Anyone know of any? Thanks
